Director's notes:
A few notes that I'd like to pass along before Sunday's event.

Some of the tables being used for the tournament are taller than normal and you may have to sit on tall stools in order to play at them. I will do my best to accommodate those who obviously can not play at a tall table, but I ask that you be accommodating if you can.

Boards will be assigned at this event. This is to ensure fairness so that players are not forced to play all of their games at tall tables.

Be prepared for a variety of temperatures. Layers are a good idea. We will do our best to keep the temperature fine for everyone, but I found myself to be warm when I was doing my demonstration on Tuesday. Once again, I recommend layers in case the venue is too hot or too cold for your liking.

Depending on the number of entries and walk-ins, I may be scheduling in extra rounds and byes in order to ensure everybody who wishes to play is able to. Don't worry - everybody will still be able play seven games. If extra rounds are required, it will require very quick turnarounds so that the tournament can proceed at an orderly pace, and I will institute measures (including possibly shorter breaks and limiting post-mortems) to ensure that the tournament keeps to pace.

The kitchen is not open for us yet (I'm blaming the City of Guelph for that one, long story) - but Round Table is very happy to order in anything that you'd like!

If you are find you are not comfortable playing in such an environment as described above, I respectfully ask that you withdraw at this point. I won't look negatively upon it at all! The NASPA Code of Conduct will be very strictly enforced at this event.
