Director's notes:
This tournament will use the Collins Scrabble Words dictionary (CSW), popularly known as SOWPODS. Every word in the North American dictionary (Tournament and Club Word List) also appears in CSW. There is a penalty for an incorrect challenge of 5 points per word challenged, but no loss of turn.

Divisions S1 and S2 will be rated using NASPA's SOWPODS rating system. If you do not already have a NASPA SOWPODS rating your existing NASPA rating will be your starting rating.

Division S1 is unlimited play-up. Division S2 has a maximum rating of 1300.

The third division, SOWPODS Newbies, will be unrated. This is a chance to try out SOWPODS for fun. The list of SOWPODS only two and three letter words will be handed out and can be consulted during play in this division.

To fit the cross-tables configuration Division S3 is listed as under 500, but it is open to all ratings.

There must be a minimum of four players registered in a division for that division to be held. Otherwise divisions may have to be combined.
