Mike Baron has published the (brief) list of all the words that are in OWL but not in OSPD.
So when the word GIRLIES came up and was not challenged in a game in the Lexington MA club, I was curious to discover that...
a) GIRLY and GIRLIE are listed in OSPD only as adjectives;
b) GIRLIES is acceptable in OWL;
c) GIRLIES is not on the POO list (and is also not a new word added to OWL version 2).
Any thoughts? Is there something subtly offensive about calling someone a girlie?
