Yeah, I think you get what my question is...

Playing the bingo is pretty much asking to get annihilated next turn (which happened to the tune of THULIAS for 110), but what else are you gonna do? Make a two-letter, 8 point play that may end up ruining your bingo for the next turn (the only one I would consider is 9G ON, by the way)?

I'm not great at stat but 11 of 90 tiles unseen are gonna punish me pretty badly, especially given that the bingo is only 59 points in the first place. Is this a really simple position whose answer is: "bingo if you're the underdog, otherwise don't?" I feel like there's a little more to it...

There's no option in my mind. You bingo and maybe take your lumps. It's not like you can preserve a particularly excellent leave, and for 40 points less? Some times opp will not be able to respond, other times you'll get a worst case scenario, and normally they'll hit for 40-60 if they do have an S/T. I'm not sure there's really anyone I wouldn't play this bingo against.
