#player2 Samuel_Kaplan Samuel Kaplan
>Dustin_Dean: ACY H7 CAY +16 16
>Samuel_Kaplan: ACEEKOW I8 WEKA +23 23
#note Decided to go with this over WOKE because it offers fewer hooks. WOKE is a little better equity, but I don't think that's a huge concern when I can still hook AW.
>Dustin_Dean: AFILORX H11 FLORA +32 48
#note I have some of Dustin's racks for this game. Thanks to him for providing them! I think FOLIA is slightly better with how much less that gives back to me.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?CDEORT 13G C.EDiTOR +78 101
#note 15H (A)ERODuCT is 8 more and a miss. It would make a huge difference. #findinglarge #visionlarge
>Dustin_Dean: IINQTUX N10 QUI.T +68 116
#note And how is he getting a bingo score if I play the more optimal bingo? Nice play.
>Samuel_Kaplan: GILNRRU O8 GRIN +28 129
#note J7 UNRIG for 7 more. I saw RURALING* on Row 15 but Dustin would have challenged that easily.
>Dustin_Dean: AX O14 AX +29 145
>Samuel_Kaplan: DELRSUW G8 WED +24 153
#note W(YE) looks like a good fish on the surface, but I thought Dustin was more likely to block after my fish. Most 7s wouldn't even play on this current board even if I drew into one. I think I would have done J6 DREW if I had to do this one over again. #visionsmall
>Dustin_Dean: BGINTYZ L11 BI.TY +28 173
#note Looks solid.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ILPRSTU J6 PUL +21 174
#note 15B STIPULAR. This is just getting so bad. I am not getting unlucky and it doesn't matter how well I drew up to this point. I think Dustin has been better than me.
>Dustin_Dean: ENZ K5 ZEN +30 203
>Samuel_Kaplan: IIOORST J10 IRI. +21 195
#note Fishing with 10I KOI isn't helping anything. Where am I gonna bingo keeping IORST besides Row 15 if I don't draw an A?
>Dustin_Dean: ?DEGILR L3 GLaDIER +87 290
#note Nice fit.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AOOSSTV I3 VATS +18 213
#note Perhaps Dustin is less likely to score while blocking after this as opposed to M1 AVO. 3J VO(G)S just gives away so much and will entice Dustin to take Row 15 out which is basically saying GG.
>Dustin_Dean: EEHNOST H4 HE +20 310
>Samuel_Kaplan: ABELOOS M2 BOOS +31 244
#note It's very close between M2 BOO and this. I was fine with burning my S with 2 more unseen and there being no meaningful S hooks to work with on this board.
>Dustin_Dean: AENOSTU 15E OUT. +4 314
#note He might have blocked me from bingoing, but there are other paths to victory.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEELNOV 14A NOVEL +18 262
#note By placing the V in Column C, I reforked vertical lines what won't be easy for him to block. That's why I didn't do G2 LEAVE or G3 EAVE.
>Dustin_Dean: AEJ A12 JA.E +57 371
#note I'm gonna have a hard time catching up if he will be able to overcome a bingo.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ADEEHMS N1 MED +25 287
#note Maybe I'll draw the other M and score a lot in the top right corner. 12A JADE would have totally defeated the purpose of NOVEL as Dustin just has to make a play on Row 11. That's why I didn't care for that or 12A JEHAD. This was misscored as 26.
>Dustin_Dean: AN O1 AN +23 394
#note I would have had so many if he didn't take that out. Misscored as 26.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEEHMPS D11 HEM. +18 305
#note I would have had O1 MESH for 68! And he would have once again had a hard time closing down the lanes in NOVEL which would have maybe done the trick. But now I'm the desperate one.
>Dustin_Dean: FIN E10 FIN +24 418
#note At least this can't be closed down just yet.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AAEOPST C13 A.O +20 325
#note No path to victory, but I can still bingo out by drawing GO out of the bag.
>Dustin_Dean: EIINRSU 11D ..E +6 424
#note Even if he blocks B6 GESTAPO with 10B SUR(F)E(D), he still gives me GESTAPO(S). That would have netted him more spread, although that play is not easy to find.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEGOPST B6 GESTAPO +75 400
#note The final score might say it was a close game, but the fact is, it was far from a close game. That first half was just so bad that I didn't exactly play like a D1 level player. NOVEL is the play that I am glad to have found, but I was still down too many points to be able to make much work. I will not use him drawing all the power tiles as an excuse, because there were several bad plays that were made. Final score was recorded as 427-413.

Rounds 6 and 7 were very winnable, but I feel like part of me gave those away. I end up 3-4 -80 and a small rating loss. Good game Dustin! On to the next one.
