>Jackson: ABBEGSV H8 VEG +14 14
#note Q is not convinced, saying his average is increased by more than mine over the standard placement. The idea here is that I hold hooks to rehook the G no matter what he plays, BAG, GIB, GOB, plus VEGA and VEGAS if he hooks the A. He often suspects an X or Z and may sacrifice too much to adjust to that part of my range, while not worrying about the type of stuff that I actually have.
>Josh: AADELNT 11H AL +10 10
#note there is also the side of stuff like VEG that just puts general pressure on your opponent, makes them think hard about why you placed the word weirdly, which can induce errors. Josh has LANATED for 90 here
>Jackson: ?AABBSV G9 BABA +26 40
>Josh: ADEINOT F9 OD +21 31
>Jackson: ?CEOSVW J8 WOVE +24 64
>Josh: AEEINOT K8 OE +9 40
>Jackson: ?CDLMPS 8A CLuMPS +46 110
#note I forgot we were playing NWL18, so never came up with just CLUMP/WOP. That looks like a way etter version of this play, both standardly and because of his range, throwing out consonants as nice 8s lanes is exactly what I did not want to do. I considered WOLD seriously as well, but was worried about 2 consonant draws, getting bingoed on and having no good reponse. Another play that I didnt consider seriously enough is just BALED, i bingo with every vowel plus the H for SCHLUMP, and it keeps things tight. BALED sims best, followed by CLUMP, then WOLD, then CLUMPS about 5 down from BALED.
>Josh: ACEIINT 12I INIA +21 61
#note MI, the other LI fishes, or exch I sim a bit better
>Jackson: AADMRSU 13A MARAUDS +82 192
>Josh: ACEISTT A1 ECSTATI. +89 150
>Jackson: EEIIJNR C5 INJ.RE +21 213
#note EMIR is probably the play here, just a bit more balanced, the J is not the worst thosugh it is not particularly good on this board, but still should be good for 25-30. AJI for 20 is very aggressive but not bad
>Josh: EEIILQW L5 WILE +15 165
#note B10 WE sims about 5 ahead. interesting choice. or just MEW and be boring
>Jackson: AEIOPUY K4 YEP +30 243
#note definitely missd YIPE here, which is a better version of this for sure. With something like EIS specified, YEP sims similar to COYPU or COYAU, and YIPE is a bit ahead. But no matter what, PYEMIA for 42 was a huge miss, and very much the call no matter if he has an S or not.
>Josh: EEEHIOQ A11 HO.IE +33 198
>Jackson: AINOOTU D5 TOO. +19 262
#note missed CAUTION. Wanted to keep extra vowels, so TOOM seemed good, but CAUTION sims about 8 ahead, with TOOM second.
>Josh: EEOOQRU M1 ROQUE +34 232
>Jackson: AEGINRU 2A .URING +26 288
#note this doesnt show up on speedy player but wins a sim, a bit above UNRIG, the other play I was considering. It is nice to keep the R for EWER, but reaching deeper for the SXZ? tiles is important. While the R looks dangerous, it requires spending vowels to hit, and also CURING does a good job of exhausting the top left of the board - after a play at 1L, the board can often be fairly controlled. It is also nice to set up occasional 1D plays with EA in hand. CURING is about 2 points ahead in the sim
>Josh: EHORTUZ 2J ZER.TH +76 308
>Jackson: AADEFFI 1K FE.IA +52 340
>Josh: ?OSTTUX 1D XU +36 344
>Jackson: ADDFKNR B10 FAR.D +60 400
>Josh: ?NOSTTY I11 ..T +4 348
#note great play, wins with EIL and ties with N, so about a 50% win.
>Jackson: DEGIKNN D12 D.NK +28 428
#note no wins, probably should play DEKING and hope he misses the fancy TYLOSIN overlap after
>Josh: ?LNOSTY 14I STONiLY +76 424
#note KLYSTRON but whatever
>Josh: (EING) +10 434
