>David_Weisberg: LLMMNOR H7 M.LL +6 6
#note I almost exchanged here, which is certainly reasonable. My play sims best at about 3 ahead of exchanging to the R. Had I exchanged I might have kept MR, which sims just a hair behind keeping only the R. Keeping NR is a little further behind, and exchanging 7 is 5.5 behind MILL.
>Liz_Gottlin: ?ACDLNO 11G CeLADON +74 100
>David_Weisberg: ALMNORV L8 VRO.M +28 34
#note Sims best and a point better than L8 VAROOM 30. I didn't seen 12H ROMAN 37, but it sims 1.5 behind my play.
>Liz_Gottlin: DEJP J10 J.PED +35 135
>David_Weisberg: ABEHLNW 13H WH.N +14 48
#note Tough spot here. The sim prefers M11 NEWB, which I didn't see. It sims 3 points ahead of WHEN, which is the second best performing play I simmed. NEWB scores a lot more and I might get some good overlaps with MEH in a turn or two, but it doesn't do much else for the board other than leave the E and D in JAPED open, and the leave is weak. My play bingos 22% vs. 13% for NEWB, maybe not a huge difference, but WHEN also seemed to lead to a more open board in general, which I need. NEWB restricts the S hook to CELADON, though on this board, the V triple has to be played through a lot for lack of much alternative.

>Liz_Gottlin: ?DFNORS 5F FOND.eRS +72 246
#note It plays at 4E for 76. I'm not sure if she missed this or sacrificed points on purpose, as her placement does seem more defensive. The sim actually likes K4 FOND 30 over any bingo, though only by less than a point over the 4E placement, which is the best simming bingo. Since she'll be taking a big lead, some defense, as her placement aims for, is understandable.
>David_Weisberg: EGQTUUV M2 GUV. +16 141
#note Sims best, along with VUGS in the same spot, though I liked GUVS better to possibly open the O column later with an overlap. 4B TUQUE 33 sims almost 5 points behind, dragged down by the awful GV leave, especially bad on this tight board.
>Liz_Gottlin: CEKU 4C CUKE +25 271
>David_Weisberg: EEQRTTU H1 QUER. +45 186
#note QUEEN actually sims almost 2 points better. It could be because the pool is getting vowel-heavy. The sim says QUEEN bingos about 15% vs 13% for QUERN. I had thought about it at the time but it still seemed counterintuitive keeping RTT over ETT only halfway through the game.
>Liz_Gottlin: EO 12J .O.E +14 285
>David_Weisberg: AEEEITT 8L .ITA +21 207
#note I missed 9F TALI 22, which is a 4 I don't see often. 14H AIDE 15 sims just half a point behind, helping to unduplicate the E's. VITA, which at least opens a new bingo line, still sims almost 2.5 behind TALI. Notably the sim shows 4L EVE 16 to have a higher win% (by less than 1%) over these plays, but a few points lower on equity. If Liz doesn't have N, R, or S, it's hard to do much to block, but I also need to draw a hook tile, or bingo through C in CUKE. I think I like AIDE here to balance the rack and bingo relatively often at 15%. (EVE is thought by the sim to bingo 20%, but a human will be playing more defense against it, I believe.) VITA, meanwhile, only bingos 4% next turn.

#note 14L YEWS 20 is much better for equity, but it's already over.
