>Edwin_Roth: EIR D11 RI.E +14 348
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEINRSW 15B WAR +16 420
#note Ok, this where the spiciness happens. There was a tile missing from the bag. The missing tile was a T and it fell out of the bag prior to the game (probably). Both Ed and I spent a while trying to get our tracking right, and neither of us could. If the T were in the bag, I would play something like 15A WAIN for 33 fairly quickly and just outrun. Here I decided not to empty the bag and keep scoring. If I draw the M which is more likely than average given that Ed has been grooming his rack toward a bingo, I hit 15A SWARM for 30 and that will outrun Ed.
>Edwin_Roth: E B14 E. +10 358
>Jonathan_Lindh: AAEIMNS 15A S...M +30 450
#note I should just bingo here with AMNESIA/ANEMIAS, but I thought this rack was dead for some reason and I was under a minute so I just SWARM and went with the sure win. First real mistake of the whole game.
>Edwin_Roth: ?EINOTU A8 ElUTION. +76 434
#note Best.
>Edwin_Roth: (AAEINT) +12 446
#note Final score recorded as 450-444 because the T on the floor was treated as not being part of the game. I raised the issue of the missing tile to Ed after the game, and we discovered the T on the floor. We called the director over to get a ruling who in turn got a second opinion. The T was ruled not to have counted. I played this game really well with the exception of the last play. Had I bingoed with ANEMIAS/AMNESIA, I would have had 3 500+ games for the tournament.
