#player1 Steve_Hartsman Steve Hartsman
#player2 Jonathan_Lindh Jonathan Lindh
>Steve_Hartsman: DEX H7 DEX +22 22
#note 2024 Crescent City Cup. Round 14.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEENNOU G7 ONE +21 21
#note Seems fine.
>Steve_Hartsman: DEIRSTW 6A WRISTED +70 92
#note Quackle seems to like the 71 point WRISTED better for some reason which is surprising.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEGKNOU A5 A.OKE +36 57
#note A6 WAUK for 33 is a little better.
>Steve_Hartsman: ALOV F8 OVAL +25 117
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEGNRUU I1 UNURGED +69 126
#note Best. One of my best finds of the tournament.
>Steve_Hartsman: ?LNPSTY - +0 117
#note Unsuccessful challenge. This was Steve's actual rack.
>Jonathan_Lindh: BDEEINY 1H B.Y +24 150
#note Very close with B1 BINDERY for 33.
>Steve_Hartsman: ?LNPSTY C1 PTYaL.NS +76 193
#note If I played BINDERY, Steve would probably play H1 PUNTY for 42 keeping LS? and he would be bingoing soon anyways so BUY wasn't a total disaster. I was surprised Steve blank bingoed after the challenge though. PTYALINS was a great find.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEEEINO 11E E.OINED +32 182
#note Unfortunate draw, but ELOINED seems fine. Non-bingo double doubles are always cool.
>Steve_Hartsman: AMRW 10J WARM +33 226
#note New Orleans was warm. Chicago right now is most certainly not.
>Jonathan_Lindh: BCEELMT 4B B.M +12 194
#note This was a very weak play. M9 EMBLEM for 26 scores more and turns over more tiles for the blanks and S's. I thought CEELT was better than it actually was. 1A CEP for 21 wins the sims, which I considered and the fact that it wins a sim surprises me.
>Steve_Hartsman: AQ 2A QA. +24 250
#note Should have done CEP.
>Jonathan_Lindh: CEEHLNT 12A LEECH +27 221
#note One of the top 5 plays, but B9 THENCE for 40 is the clear winner. My play is about 8-9 points back of THENCE.
>Steve_Hartsman: ORU 5C .OUR +19 269
>Jonathan_Lindh: AAENOTT A12 .OTA +12 233
#note Best.
>Steve_Hartsman: IIN M10 .INI +12 281
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AEEENT L3 TEENAgE. +64 297
#note 2G VENENATE for 79. That's a tough overlap to see. Even L3 LATEENER for 66 is better than my play.
>Steve_Hartsman: FO J5 OF +29 310
>Jonathan_Lindh: AFGIIPT 12H FAT +27 324
#note You have to wonder if Steve would be able to hit L1 hard with his F had I found VENENATE. M2 GIFT for 27 is the top play here. Scores the same number of points as FAT and keeps a better leave. FAT is #4. I also was afriad of Steve playing H11 IZARS for 72 next turn.
>Steve_Hartsman: GILR M2 GIRL +18 328
>Jonathan_Lindh: CGIIOPZ N1 COZ +46 370
#note Looks good, right? 73.86% to win, 10% above the play. Watch what happens.
>Steve_Hartsman: HRSU 13F RUSH +28 356
#note Nice play.
>Jonathan_Lindh: GIIIIPT M7 GI +11 381
#note Complete death draw. 73.86% winning chances to 0% winning chances in one move. My play is best because it blocks JAVAS.
>Steve_Hartsman: AAJSV 14A .AJ +20 376
#note Steve finds his only winning play here. I just saw H3 JUS for 10 and I though I would be able to survive. Nothing else wins.
>Jonathan_Lindh: IIIPT N13 TIP +12 393
#note Best. I searched in vain for a win. No win exists.
>Steve_Hartsman: ASV N6 VAS +20 396
#note Best.
>Steve_Hartsman: (II) +4 400
#note We recounted and came up with the correct score. We originally underscored RUSH by a point and fixed it on the recount. There were 3-4 plays that were reasonable but could have been better which may have made the difference in this game. Still thought I played fairly well. Great game Steve!
