#note should probably do BLUEY here, doesnt seem like any complicated reason besides being a bit better positionally and a lone U being garb

#note may have overthought this lmao, LIQUOR sims over 10 ahead with no inference. I saw LIQUOR and QUOIT but hated going up by a bit with UW versus a good leave on his part, felt like it was a recipe for being down tempo early. I liked OW more than WO/VETO for 4 more cause VET often keeps a T, TWO is a nice easy lane for him, and OW blocks some bingoes through BOL. most importantly, I felt like most bingoes would open the board, especially bingoes with VETS, and QU can hit the 1 row hard if he bingoes there. The sim kinda confirms this, OW does better with good racks implied, but not by nearly enough to justify the sacrifice - I think I overestimated QUURI as a leave here, since too often I can't even respond to bingoes well cause I am bogged down by clunkers or vowels. Any bad tile draw could ruin this rack and I still rely on drawing an E or T or something to bail it out.

#note a deserved response

#note this time the weird looking play is closer to right - considered UM 6I and UMBO mostly. DRUM is also a decent idea but I didnt seriously consider it. I liked UMBO because I can hit 8a REQUIN if he plays on row 12, QUIRN hits the T pretty well, and of course I draw D8 plays if they stay open (which i dont expect them too too often). UM was nice cause QUIRN hits the E in REDOLENT about as well as the T (UM bingoes a hair more overall), makes another 7 lane for myself for occasional stuff like INQUIRE, UNIQUER, but UM igves back a bit more to Josh immediately, just an easy lane to hit. All three sim close, DRUM a hair up on UMBO. DRUM could be a good fake setup to divert from QUERN, he might be encouraged to play at G13, but also could be bad if he either has an S or leaves it and is the favourite to draw it (just drew 7 tiles plus wlil draw more next turn)

#note WAIN sims best here, then WADY a few points down. hooks on WAIN are a bit of a bitch, but still makes me average 9 fewer points than after RAWIN, and in a sim at least he doesnt make it up. Still, RAWIN is a nice and aggressive play to make something happen when his position really isnt great, maybe a bit above 50%

#note QAURE looks standard at first, but I can capitalize on there being two triple triple open. As much as RAWIN was a bit scary, Josh took a while so I thought he might have a blank, my rack is still way better equipped to hit, cause there is no guarantee he kept a blank and I am keeping great leaves for both the Q and the N. for this I loved FA, EPRU? is a monster here. 3A PFUI is a cool play I didnt consider, while it gives up on hitting the Q, it definitely hits more triple tirples than FA, cause I average 92 vs. 82 after FA. However, Q triple triple are completely game ending...............................

#note this might be the highest scoring phony thats ever been accepted. Josh was actually quite sure it was a word, he estimated about 80%, and he held for a long time. If you take 80% sureness, it is worth it to let it go, cause it's about an even game if he doesnt challenge, but if he does challenge he's maybe 30% to win, and even being 100% to win if it comes off only gets him to about 44% to win if he challenges. ofc the best play is to be sure OPAQUERS* is phony and challenge, but given his sureness it makes sense to accept. insane position

#note or OGIVE, which I cannot say I saw. OGIVE is nice cause EHT is probably better equipped to outrun than EV, but OGIVE has a few annoying aspects - the V makes it hard t oblock those marginal lanes at the top right I'm opening, cause I can only play down from the V, which opens more lanes, plus the V I keep with HOGTIE can really help to exhaust one side of the board - even a play to the T in AFT would totally kill everything.
