#player2 Jonathan_Lindh Jonathan Lindh
>Peter_Schwartzman: BOORRW 8D BORROW +28 28
>Jonathan_Lindh: FIKORTU F6 KU.FI +24 24
#note I got KURFI* confused with KUFI and KULFI. 9C KIF for 24 is perfectly fine so I need to do that.
>Peter_Schwartzman: AACDGQT E10 QAT +35 63
#note Thanks to Peter for his racks. QAT is clealy best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: EEGNORT 7H GO +13 37
#note Seems fine.
>Peter_Schwartzman: ACDGILS D11 DIG +17 80
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: EENORTU 6E U.E +7 44
#note 9H OE for 14 is a tad better but my play is in the top 3 for sure.
>Peter_Schwartzman: ACDELLS J8 SCALLED +78 158
>Peter_Schwartzman: ACDELLS -- -78 80
#note I spent about 6 minutes deciding whether or not to challenge. I challenged. SCALLED# is Collins only. I was exhausted after this play.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ENNORST J2 TONNERS +77 121
#note Best.
>Peter_Schwartzman: ACDELLS D1 CALLED +33 113
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: FHJNTVW 2B WH.T +20 141
#note WHAT is near the top. I'd do it again given I know Peter has an S.
>Peter_Schwartzman: AEEORST 4F RESO.ATE +68 181
#note K1 ROSEATE is 81. That's a crazy 6 tile overlap.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AFIJNNV 3I J. +34 175
#note H1 JINS for 33 is clearly best.
>Peter_Schwartzman: AEEIIIS -EIII +0 181
#note 3C ILIA is 22.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AFILNNV 1D .AVIL +32 207
#note Best.
>Peter_Schwartzman: AAEEISU 3C A.E +19 200
#note Probably ILEA in the same spot.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AFHINN 5C F.N +16 223
#note C12 FAIN for 26 is apparently best. That seems a little risky to me.
>Peter_Schwartzman: AEEIPSU K3 E.U +20 220
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AAHINS C12 HA +22 245
#note I still think this play is better than N4 SHAITAN for 72. SHAITAN is too volatile and Peter's last play suggests he may be holding an S bingo prone leave.
>Peter_Schwartzman: AEIOPRS N4 SOAPIER +72 292
#note Quackle actually likes 14D SOAPIER for 69 a little bit better because of the potential comebacks.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AEGINS O9 SErINGA +78 323
#note Quackle thinks O9 REAGINS for 80 is a hair better but I prefer not to put an S at O15.
>Peter_Schwartzman: EIIPTXZ M9 PIXIE +45 337
#note Seems fine.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?BDDELV L10 DEB +34 357
#note Another one of my favorite plays of the tournament. I was getting pretty low on time thanks to taking 6 minutes to challenge off SCALLED#. I originally laid down M3 VELD for 21 which sims 2nd best, and then I picked it up. I took a look at the unseen pool and noticed there is only one unseen tile Peter can overlap using _EX (the R). There are also only two unseen O's. I laid down this play, hoping to draw a VO_ play for a ton. DEB crushes the sim by a whopping 7% win chances over VELD, the next best play.
>Peter_Schwartzman: CMNOTYZ B13 MY +20 357
#note M1 COZEY for 43. Peter was setting up his C here.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?DEILVY K11 VoID +44 401
#note Quackle likes K11 VOLED for 46 by a smidge more but they are almost neck and neck. I prefer VOID.
>Peter_Schwartzman: CNORTTZ M1 COZ.N +34 391
#note Looks best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AELNOUY 1M .OY +24 425
#note I saw 1K UNCOY for 33 and was only 90% sure of it. COY vs. UNCOY cost me a lot of spread.
>Peter_Schwartzman: IMRTT 13I TR.T. +13 404
#note A14 MI is 19 and 5 points better.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AELNU A14 AE +11 436
#note I whiffed on 14E ULNAE for 9. Thankfully, I still win.
>Peter_Schwartzman: IM 2L M.I +14 418
#note Best.
>Peter_Schwartzman: (LNU) +6 424
#note I thought this was of the most thrilling games I played in all weekend. Lots of hard decisions on both sides.
