#player1 Jonathan_Lindh Jonathan Lindh
#player2 Peter_Schwartzman Peter Schwartzman
>Jonathan_Lindh: EEKLRST 8C SKELTER +82 82
#note Looks fine. Great start!
>Peter_Schwartzman: ?BDEGMZ E5 MEZ. +30 30
#note Thanks to Peter for providing his racks! MEZE and E7 BEGEM for 20 are neck and neck for the best play.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AAEGGRW F6 WA.ER +42 124
#note WALER seems fine. Very defensive and scores the most out of any top play. Scored as 40.
>Peter_Schwartzman: ?ABDGOR H1 BOaRDAG. +86 116
>Peter_Schwartzman: ?ABDGOR -- -86 30
#note Moment of truth! I saw GARBOARD and BOGARTED as options for Peter but I didn't see anythign through the S. Then I mentally went to the BOARD section of the dictionary and didn't recall seeing this word so I challenged after a minute or two.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AABGGIN 7H BAG +14 138
#note BAG has to be right. Blocking the more obvious bingos with the E and forcing Peter to find GARBOARD.
>Peter_Schwartzman: ?ABDGOR 6I BAG +18 48
#note Still GARBOARD.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AFGINNN 9I FANNING +79 217
#note Only bingo. It's always nerve wracking opening a triple triple knowing your opponent has a blank but you can't play scared and nothing else is worth it.
>Peter_Schwartzman: DEFNORR O6 FRO. +24 72
#note FROG is a very close second to E5 MEZEREON for 42 which I saw the possibility of for most of the game.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AIIOTUV 6C VI.. +10 227
#note 10E TRIVIA for 25 is a cool option, but I elected to obscure the S knowing Peter has a blank.
>Peter_Schwartzman: ?DINORS L1 INDORSe +73 145
#note L1 DRONISH for 75 is the only bingo above 73. All of the bingos are almost identical.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?ACIOTU 2F CAUTIO.s +67 294
#note If Peter played DRONISH, I would have had AUTACOID/AUTOCOID for a ton and I instantly saw those. 2G CONTINUA for 72 is the only higher scoring bingo than CAUTIONS and both block the triple triple. Once I determined there was nothing through the I, I just moved on. CONTINUA is only better by a point or two according to Quackle.
>Peter_Schwartzman: AEELMNU 1G AMU +31 176
>Jonathan_Lindh: EHIOSTY 11E ISOHYET +111 405
#note One of my finest plays of the tournament.
>Peter_Schwartzman: EEELTTU D3 ETU. +12 188
>Jonathan_Lindh: DDEIOPR 10J PO +24 429
#note Not opening the board after Peter's last few plays. I'm hoping Peter plays down to the triple and then I can bingo through the floaters.
>Peter_Schwartzman: CEEHLTV H11 .ELVE +36 224
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADDEIIR 14F DI.A +12 441
#note Blocking.
>Peter_Schwartzman: ACEHLNT 3A HAL. +14 238
#note C3 HALVES for 43.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEIIRTY A1 YE. +27 468
#note I had to talk myself out of HERIDITY*. It's HEREDITY. YEH seems fine.
>Peter_Schwartzman: CEEENST 6N E. +7 245
#note Or 1K NIECE for 24.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DIILORT 15C TRIO +8 476
#note Blocking the biggest 2 lines.
>Peter_Schwartzman: CEENSTW 12G W. +10 255
>Jonathan_Lindh: DIILORX M2 .OX +33 509
#note Blocking the easiest bingo lane.
>Peter_Schwartzman: CEENNST 14B NE +6 261
#note My last play blocked CENTONES!
>Jonathan_Lindh: DIILOQR 13A QI +13 522
#note JEAN/ANE is a possibility from my view so I have to block that along with the bingos on the A column.
>Peter_Schwartzman: CDENPST 12B PEC +19 280
>Jonathan_Lindh: DIJLORU B2 R.J +24 546
#note 10B JUROR for 30 is the top play by 5 points (although it's 10 points if Peter goes out with STAND, I think DANS blocking LAID becmes Peter's best play). RAJ is 2nd best.
>Peter_Schwartzman: ADNST L11 STAND +30 310
#note Best.
>Peter_Schwartzman: (DILOU) +12 322
#note Final score recorded as 544-323. Very pleased with the way I played with this game.
