>Jared_Cappel: AFINNPS 8G FIN +12 12
#note The sim very slightly prefers FAN.
>Morris_Greenberg: DKRTUYZ J6 YUK +29 29
>Jared_Cappel: ?AANOPS 9C PAiSANO +74 86
#note Did not remember the set of PAISANO, ANOPSIA, ANOPIAS. Only saw PAISANO. ANOPSIA scores 13 more. Not sure I would have been certain of it.
>Morris_Greenberg: DDRRSTZ E8 D.TZ +26 55
>Jared_Cappel: AGIORRU K2 GUIRO +17 103
>Morris_Greenberg: BDERRST 4J B.RD +14 69
>Jared_Cappel: AAAERTV F11 AVA +17 120
#note I noticed he had played no vowels for two straight turns and said 'I shouldn't be giving you a floating vowel'...and then gave it to him anyway. I just struggled seeing a better play. Without specifying a rack for Morris, AVA sims best, but I don't think it's right. Just AA feels fine (which I considered while post-morteming) or the aggressive forking AGAVE (which I considered during the game)
>Morris_Greenberg: EFNRRST 13D TR.NSFER +66 135
>Jared_Cappel: AEEORRT M2 RE.O +10 130
#note I decided to go fishing here and also thought Morris might miss the C or U hooks which he did. I considered RETRANSFER but wasn't sure if it was good. TRANSFEROR sims best. Wouldn't have known that one.
>Morris_Greenberg: AAEGJNT K9 JAGE. +26 161
#note Quackle naively prefers JANE 12A for 42, given Jared's last few plays, this feels better to block the most fruitful bingo spots.I also considered JA(R) K11 as a similar idea with a better leave (especially with the IN at H8 on this board, the G is a better tile than normal), but thought leaving A(JAR) possibilities and fewer points wasn't worth it, I also considered (T)AJ since if Jared bingos, that could give me a lot more points the following turn, but since he played off 3, I felt there would be enough variance in his racks that it wasn't worth it this time (whereas playing off 1 I might have considered it more seriously).
>Jared_Cappel: AEILORT H13 .OL +9 139
#note My first thought was just dropping the O at C8 to set up a new lane but the pool was vowel heavy and I didn't think I'd bingo with a vowel draw. I ultimately thought that floating a consonant would work better for me (which it did). Fun play of TAILOR(BIRD) available which of course I didn't know. I considered TRANSFERRAL* but apparently it's spelled with one R...Morris and I both assumed two R's in post-mortem. My play of SOL is simming best after TAILORBIRD. Took a while on this turn and seems to have paid off.
>Morris_Greenberg: ADNNOTY L10 YON +24 185
#note I was debating here if NAY(E)D* was good as that obstructs the new lane a lot more, and correctly decided it wasn't. I also briefly considered AN(E)NT afterwards to obstruct the lane, but it is just too much of a sacrifice.
>Jared_Cappel: AEHIORT 15D AERO.ITH +62 201
#note Thank you Cesar!
>Morris_Greenberg: ADILNST J10 LAD. +23 208
#note I considered 1 tile fishing off the D or L here with D(AY) or L(AY), and thought it didn't hit often enough for either. In addition I considered DAT(E) here for 4 more, but thought the bingo upside of INST vs ILNS was worth the 4 point sacrifice. Quackle agrees.
>Jared_Cappel: ?BILOWX G8 ..LX +33 234
#note 14B BOW/TWA sims 5.5 WP% better (wow!) and many other plays sim higher too: REDOX/XI, YOB/BOW, YOB/BOX, XI/PI, and BLOW/TWA. My play has a leave that's too weak. Also, keeping the IN open for 9's may be better with the blank.
>Morris_Greenberg: EIIMNST M11 NIM +20 228
#note Quackle prefers going all in on bingos here and playing IM(P) C7 for 8 points or (DEN)IM 12J for 8 pretty significantly (~5%). I am a bit surprised by this because conceding a lot of ground on the score can quickly make the game simpler for Jared, but these other plays allow for a bingo for me 60-70% of the time whereas NIM is just 23% for me next turn.
>Jared_Cappel: ?BHIMOW 8A WHO +31 265
>Morris_Greenberg: EEINOST 7A OE +12 240
#note Quackle likes this and (G)O(R)E 2K roughly the same.
>Jared_Cappel: ?ABEIMU 6B MU +24 289
#note With all those I's unseen and also the Q out, I should be playing MI over MU if I go this route. 12A BEAU sims best which makes sense. Much better leave.
>Morris_Greenberg: EIINSTV N5 INVITES +72 312
#note This is a tough choice between VINIEST D1 for 11 more and INVITES here. Naively, Quackle much prefers VINIEST. The real problem I foresaw with VINIEST is that if Jared has the blank, he doesn't need to bingo immediately - fishing strategies become very clean wins for him, whereas here, if he doesn't bingo immediately, I can likely deaden the board quite well on the following turn. Q plays here also make this position spicier. I am happy with this choice, but definitely could be wrong here.
>Jared_Cappel: ?AABEIS D1 AIrBASE +73 362
#note I saw both of my bingoes. I wondered if DIABASE was better despite scoring 2 fewer to put the D instead of the A in the triple lane. The sim is going back and forth between the two plays.
>Morris_Greenberg: EEEILUW 12A WILE +26 338
#note I am going for Q plays here, a QT draw for instance guarantees me the win with B10 QU(I)TE or 8L QU(I)T.
>Jared_Cappel: CDEGPQT 1D .CTED +24 386
#note I was low on clock and worse I mistracked again! I need to stop paying attention to the football in the background and start paying attention to our games. I was debating ACTED and DEPICT. Quackle likes CREDO/CEP or 8M CIG. My play sims way down. With the time crunch, I just made sure to score enough and still be able to shed the Q next turn while still winning. I knew my play was not ideal for spread. This is a tough position and one I would likely struggle with even with more time.
>Morris_Greenberg: CEEEITU 3B CU.IE +12 350
#note Whoops, U(r)EIC in the same place.
>Jared_Cappel: GPQ 8M Q. +11 397
>Morris_Greenberg: EET A12 .EET +21 371
>Morris_Greenberg: (GP) +10 381
