>Jackson: FIMOSTY H8 MOTIF +28 28
#note FOY sims ahead of this, and seems more optimal. I still like open boards against Josh, but also still recognize that to be a pretty unbacked claim. FOY suits my rack far better
>Josh_Sokol: EEEINNS I7 NEE +12 12
>Jackson: EGHRSUY G9 HUGER +34 62
#note he laid down NE... at I9 at first, and I figured it must be NENE he was about to play. With that in mind, really not too much besides EINS or the like are possible for him to have. NENE would not be close to a reasonable play if he kept something like EIT, cause NENE's main value is in protecting MOTIFS, and the difference between EINT and EIT is larger than EIS vs. EINS, on this board especially. It was for that reason that blocking MOTIFS actually felt like a positive thing, even though I have S in hand and am only speculating about him having an S. But with EINS vs. SY, EINS is by far favoured to hit the spot, so I can play the slower game with SY. Other factors were that the Y can parallel HUGER next turn if he bingoes, and I can make an S hook for myself on the triple. HUG was the full opposite play, trying to battle my range versus his and hope to hit MOTIFS before him. HUGE is a play that is perhaps best geared to my rack, keeping RS for occasional huge bingoes o at least 40+ point scoring plays on the 13 row, blocking the better half of the S hook as well. That said, it felt like the worst of both worlds instead of the best. HUGER sims best by a point with both nothing and EINS implied, but it's a close call with HUGE in either case.

>Jackson: ADDEIIN 8H ..DIA +27 186
#note moment of truth. The main plays I considered were MEDIA, MEDII, and MEDIAD. MEDIA is the most aggressive, DEIN works well holding the hooks. MEDIAD seems like a better version of MEDII, reaching for the blanks, and the I helps me bingo moe than the D, ADEN a notoriously ho hum leave. MEDIA sims best

#note or WAME
>Jackson: BDDEINR L6 BR.NDIED +74 260
>Josh_Sokol: AAEMOTU 6E MAUT +24 223
#note AMADOU is kinda cool here. OMA off BANDIED is also cool at K10 to set up AMI with few As left

>Jackson: EEGPTVY 2E GYVE +23 361
#note missed GYP under AUDIO, which looks nice to outrun most consistently and keep the extra case E. GYVE is nice for defense but gets in some closer situations for outrunning, and the pool is bad for hitting the 2 row anyways.
>Josh_Sokol: ?ACQRRS 11K Q. +22 334
#note he was already planning the CARER setup sequence, he said
>Jackson: AEOPTTV N7 P.TTO +13 374
#note considered PATOOT, whcih might be fine with no Es left, again not such a dangerous lane. Still, it opens the door to some victories instantly for Josh, in a vacuum 5% from 0. PETTO was nice to keep AEV, which all have value here - I expect a play on the 13 row next turn to open, and the V helps play upwards from that and not giving any lane. The AE really help with the consonant heavy pool, on top of the case E. I was about to play TOP(E) at first, which seems good at first to score more, and the T is case as well, but it allows better plays at n10, which both score well for Josh and could potentially open an annoying S hook. Definitely opting for the safer choice here and hoping to squeak out some closer endgames (especially with 13 row plays with MOTIFS, it could get hairy). PETTO is a play I would absolutely make against a much weaker player, since I would be more confident about outmanoeuvring in an endgame, but still here my position felt good enough to justify it.
>Josh_Sokol: ?ACFRRS 13B FARC..S +35 369
#note Could still do CARER here - I would have to block through the C, and maybe he could outrun some of those low scoring blocks with O column plays. Close, and similar to the STUNG/TUNG/TUG position from last game
>Jackson: ACELPRV 14A VAR +24 398
#note lmao missed PRECAVAL here in my mindset of obsessive blocking. There are no bingoes available after that, it wins easily. I chose VAR over VELA to keep more flexibility with the vowel to counter setups, but if I draw 3 consonants I often lose after both plays. I am in a good position to outrun here overall, but PRECAVAL wins far more consistently, so this is a massive miss
