#note def better than SHEQALIM
>Jackson: ADDEFLN I5 DEAF +25 47
#note largely stylistic choice between FAWNED and DEAF here. FAWNED sims a point better, which surprised me cause WE doesnt hook too easily and the D does for me

>Josh_Sokol: CEIOOOR 2F COOE. +17 134
>Jackson: BEINNSV 11C VENIN +29 118
#note another pivotal choice between VENIN and VIN - I did not actually consider NIB/DAB, which is nice cause it leaves the board pretty bereft of scoring options and I save two of the hooks for the board, so it has more average valuation than the other plays. VENIN sims ahead of VIN but behind NIB, though it allows access to the top left, which is a nice thing with a deficit. Still early and only a small deficit, so its pretty close between NIB and VENIN

#note PIGLET over GIGLET to not make a nice lane for the A column

#note seems like the right idea, and I was especially concerned about not knowing if APLASTIC took the S.
>Josh_Sokol: JMORSTY 6B JO.TY +39 299
#note he considered the J fish cause it hits the M column really well, but JOTTY is so solid

>Jackson: EHKMRSX O13 SEX +43 357
>Jackson: EHKMRSX -- -43 314
>Josh_Sokol: AFIMRSU 15D MAIRS +42 341
#note bad mistake not knowing my hooks - part of why I was happy to play it was that I had such a firepower rack that I felt I would still be in a commanding position if it came off the board, whereas if I leave the hook open he could have the last S and use it, putting me in a tough position. Josh's position here is really hard - MAIRS kills a sim, but I think longterm with my rack being so good it will be a tough win - still possible though. Afterthe game we looked at FUCI and FARCIS* as options - he considered FARCIS* to force my hand a bit, he just hopes to draw into a bingo, though in a sim that only happens 10% of the time. FUCI is interesting cause it bingoes slightly more than that and draws some nice plays on the O column with the M. Tough position here. I recall now FARCI just taking the E, but over the board had forgotten that
>Jackson: EHKMRSX L3 EX +41 355
#note Part of the reason Q likes MAIRS is cause it has me playing MERCH in a sim. MAX is the other reasonable idea here, which is nice just to avoid disaster situations. Tough balance between being confident enough with EX to want to avoid disaster consonant draws, but not being quite confident enough outrunning with MAX to pull the safety move. CC happens just unde 20% of the time, which is not so bad. Against a weaker player MAX is for sure the play, but here its not clear. A sim still prefers it for what its worth
>Josh_Sokol: AFNOTUV J13 .VO +14 355
#note hes pretty fucked here, Q suggests OVA C2
>Jackson: EHIKMRS N12 I.K +18 373
#note didnt see SHTIK, that surely wins 100% too. no 7s in the pool so this play is risk free
