>David_Weisberg: ABDEMSY 8H BEAMY +32 32
#note I didn't spend enough time here, still rattled after the disastrous round 12 game against Michael Baker just before lunch. I considered two placements of BEAMY the one I played or 8D for 30, as well as 8D MAYBE 30. I didn't think about 8H EMBAY 32, which is the best of both worlds, scoring 2 extra and avoiding putting an E by the DLS. It does extend to EMBAYING, but in the short term I'm more likely to benefit by it with the S I'm holding.
>Steve_Bush: AAIM 9H AMIA +26 26
>David_Weisberg: DGGNSTU L4 DUNG. +20 52
#note Crazily enough, I could underlap these same letters with DUNG 10H for 30, or TUNG for 28 if I preferred (D and G can go well together). I didn't know GUNGY or I would have played that, in the absence of the big underlap plays.. DUNG sims best by a lot, not surprisingly.

>Steve_Bush: APU H12 .AUP +27 167
>David_Weisberg: ACIIRST C9 CIR.A +24 128
#note YAUP blocked SATIRIC. It all went downhill from here and I spent a very long time on this turn. I saw ICTIC but couldn't remember if it was good or only DEICTIC. Strangely my play sims best of the the candidates I entered, but had I seen 10J TRIAC 25 I would have played it in a heartbeat. It sims about a 1.5 behind CIRCA, 5 ahead of ICTIC, and over 9 ahead of C10 ARCTIC 20. CIRCA closes off the board so I'm not sure why it does this well.
>Steve_Bush: OOZ B13 ZOO +35 202
>David_Weisberg: ?DFISST 15A F.IST +27 155
#note Missed 14F STUDFISh 71 (not known) or 14F FeUDISTS (known but not seen in a long time). Otherwise, this is probably the best of limited options.
>Steve_Bush: AEILRST 15H .ILASTER +83 285
>David_Weisberg: ?DDLSTU 4H DUD.. +10 165
#note After PILASTER this game is probably over. I will need two bingos and then some, and he will have other ideas. This at least opens another part of the board.
>Steve_Bush: AEHNOPT 3C PHAETON +84 369
#note Yep
>David_Weisberg: ?IILSST 10K SILT +11 176
#note 2f TIS 15 would reopen a bingo line on a separate part of the board, though with needing to use A to hook TE, they aren't that easy to hit. With my blank, SILT may at least make it hard for him to block the O column, especially is he doesn't have V.
>Steve_Bush: EH 11J EH +28 397
#note He might have the other blank. Yikes
>David_Weisberg: ?AEEISV O4 hEAVIES +82 258
#note I was probably getting into time trouble by now, and just knew I was sunk, but I still missed a lot here. 07 EvASIVE would score 94 and open a new bingo line.O6 AdVISEE 85 would do the same, though it exposes a TLS next to the A which makes blocking plays potentiall lucrative, especially something like GRIEF or BRIEF. It's also just a more restrictive bingo line to hit.

Elsewhere, D1 AcHIEVES or ADHESVIVE, both for 80, threaten a 3x3, which will never stay open, but could allow another bingo to SILT or from the A in YAUP. I was simply blind to this spot at this point. Though the points from EVASIVE usually salvage a bit more spread, I'd still have preferred to keep things interesting with ACHIEVES, and possibly close the gap even more.
>Steve_Bush: EIRW 4B WEIR +30 427
>David_Weisberg: BEJNNOR 5A BORNE +36 294
#note I though about 10B JIN to set up a D hook in case I drew the blank, but nah, not the way this game is going. BONNE might be a little better given there are two N's and one R unseen, but this at least guarantees JIN next turn if he doesn't play from the B.
>Steve_Bush: EO 6B OE +18 445
>David_Weisberg: GJNNNOT 10F J. +25 319
#note I didn't want to give him the DJIN hook, but I should have just played JIG. Vey silly. Misplaying this one til the bitter end. At least I didn't go overtime in this game like the last one.
>Steve_Bush: ?EEFIR A5 .RIEFEr +36 481
#note Saw this of course, but without JIG it seemed not worth blocking. I didn't have time to calculate if this was true.
