#player2 Jonathan_Lindh Jonathan Lindh
>Carl_Voss: DDI 8G DID +10 10
#note November 2023 WGPO Madison Tournament. Game 17.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADGKRRV 7F DAK +19 19
#note Did not see H4 GRAVID. I think I considered 9H DARK for 17 but dismissed it because of what it did to the board. Minor mistake at worst.
>Carl_Voss: EINNRST 6B TINNERS +77 87
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: GRRRRUV -GRRRUV +0 19
#note Best.
>Carl_Voss: EFQU C5 F.QUE +28 115
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEIRTTX 5E AX +33 52
#note First major mistake of the game. Missed 8A EAUX for 57. AX is #2 or #3.
>Carl_Voss: AVV 4E VAV +27 142
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?EEIRTT 10A TEsTIER +77 129
#note I briefly looked for 10's but didn't see any. H6 SKITTERIER is 92. That's very hard to find on day 3 of a 17 game tournament. TESTIER is the best NORMAL bingo.
>Carl_Voss: AEEOPRT J8 OPERATE +69 211
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEGILRW 14G WER.GILD +76 205
#note I saw WERGILD and was about to play it, but then got cold feet and played the bingo I felt more sure of. WERGILD and WEREGILD are both good. One of my larger NORMAL mistakes of the tournament.
>Carl_Voss: EF 15G EF +35 246
>Jonathan_Lindh: BEIOSUY O12 BUSY +50 255
#note Quackle likes A8 OUTBYE or OUTBY over my play keeping the S. Those are hard to see. BUSY is still about #5.
>Carl_Voss: AINW A8 WI.AN +27 273
>Jonathan_Lindh: EEIJOOU M11 JOU.E +24 279
#note Best.
>Carl_Voss: GISZ H1 ZIGS +56 329
#note I hoped Carl would give me a good floater for my OTARINE# rack but I clearly hoped he wouldn't score 56 points in doing so.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEINORT 1B NOTARI.E +68 347
#note Best.
>Carl_Voss: LOP 2A LOP +18 347
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?GHHILN E9 H.GH +22 369
#note Best.
>Carl_Voss: AY D12 AY +20 367
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?CILLMN C13 MIL +24 393
#note Best.
>Carl_Voss: CEIMNOS K2 INCOMES +79 446
#note Devastating. 91.67% for Carl to win. The pool was stuffed with vowels and Carl drew just enough consonants to bingo.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?CLNORT 2J C.TRON +28 421
#note No bingos. 2H INCITER for 30 is apparently best by 1 point, but CITRON is 2nd best.
>Carl_Voss: AABEOOU 3A OBA +27 473
#note Tied for the best with 6 other plays.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?L F1 .eL.... +14 435
#note Best. Very pleased to find the best play on the last play of the game.
>Jonathan_Lindh: (AEOU) +8 443
#note Final score recorded as 472-443 because INCOME got scored as 78 instead of 79. I don't think I played this game as well as the others, but I still played it fairly well. I only missed one bingo the entire tournament which was a disconnected 9 PROLAMINE in the Vincent Van Dover game plus I missed a few better bingos when I played a bingo. This was probably my best played tournament today to date. Wasn't fully satisfied with the result, but loved the way I played. 7-10 -588.
