#player1 Jonathan_Lindh Jonathan Lindh
#player2 Vincent_Van_Dover Vincent Van Dover
>Jonathan_Lindh: IIPSTTW 8G WIT +12 12
#note November 2023 WGPO Madison Tournament. Game 3. Best. I have never beaten with Vincent before. Will this game be the first time I beat him?
>Vincent_Van_Dover: EEZ J6 ZEE +39 39
>Jonathan_Lindh: CDGIPST K8 DIPT +23 35
#note I think this is best even though CG is a bad combination.
>Vincent_Van_Dover: DFOO L9 FOOD +27 66
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?CGIIMS G8 .IG +8 43
#note 7H GIE for 11 would have worked out better. WIG is still pretty good, though.
>Vincent_Van_Dover: LNORSTY 10B STRON.YL +66 132
#note Blocked NITROSYL, but gave him STRONGYL/STRONGLY.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?ACIMRS C6 ACRo.ISM +78 121
#note 13G CzARISM for 87 is probably the play. I just saw that now when I plugged this rack into Quackle.
>Vincent_Van_Dover: BGU 8A BU.G +27 159
>Jonathan_Lindh: AGIKRRS B4 ARK +33 154
#note I stand by this play over B4 ARK for 33. There are a lot of N's I can draw into to make RINGS__ bingos and the I at B4 is very ominous with 4 letter X plays and CINQ plays lurking in the pool. I felt better about this play knowing the Z was on the board.
>Vincent_Van_Dover: AELP A1 LEAP +34 193
>Jonathan_Lindh: GIINRSS 14A RISINGS +86 240
#note Best. ARK paid off.
>Vincent_Van_Dover: HJN E9 J.HN +28 221
>Jonathan_Lindh: AADEEOX B1 AX +38 278
#note Or A11 ADORE for 24.
>Vincent_Van_Dover: DHU A12 HU.D +36 257
>Vincent_Van_Dover: DHU -- -36 221
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADEEEOT 15G ODE +14 292
#note Knowing Vincent had an H, I didn't want the SH spot staying open. Quackle apprently likes A11 ADORE or A12 AERO here knowing a partial rack, but the G15 spot could become hard to defend against in the future if I don't draw well.
>Vincent_Van_Dover: HTU A12 HU.T +33 254
>Jonathan_Lindh: AAEETTW M10 WEET +28 320
#note M10 TWAE for 28 is my play with an even better leave but given the amount of E's out, WEET is perfectly fine. Score and block row 14 as much as possible.
>Vincent_Van_Dover: ACV N12 VAC +25 279
#note Nice play!
>Jonathan_Lindh: AAAIITU O11 AIT +16 336
#note Thankfully, VAC gives my rack a purpose and I block.
>Vincent_Van_Dover: ?ENOQUY - +0 279
#note Exchange 5. Vincent said he threw back the Q here.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AAABILU 6G BAI.A +16 352
#note Seems fine. Keep things tight and score.
>Vincent_Van_Dover: ENOV 7E OVEN +23 302
#note Great play! Scored as 22.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AELRUY D3 RULY +24 376
#note Maybe 12C SUNRAY for 26?
>Vincent_Van_Dover: EIL 5K LIE +10 312
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AEEMOQ 4L QAt +46 422
#note Best.
>Vincent_Van_Dover: DEFNNOU 3C F.OND +22 334
#note 12C SUNNED for 18 starts the best endgame.
>Jonathan_Lindh: EEEMOOR 3M ME +19 441
#note Whoops. I missed D12 EMIR for 26. My play is 4th best and 5 points behind EMIR.
>Vincent_Van_Dover: ENU G1 NU.E +5 339
#note Tied for the best play along with I10 LUNE and G1 UNDE.
>Vincent_Van_Dover: (EEOOR) +10 349
#note Final score recorded as 441-348.
