>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: EEILOOU H4 LOUIE +12 12
#note pretty much tied in a sim between exchanging and this
>Jackson: EEFILOS 5E FLO.SIE +40 40
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: AEILOOR 4B OORIE +17 29
#note AEROFOIL was missed
>Jackson: EEEGIRU C3 R.UGE +14 54
#note considered 3E GEE strongly, which wins a sim, but I didnt like that EIRU was gonna have to play through only vowels, especially EI, and then the scoring opportunities were bleak. I preferred to play through the rack a bit more since the bag will play much better. ROUGE sims second behind GEE by a couple points
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: ABILLOT D7 LOBTAIL +72 101
>Jackson: CEEIPPU A4 PIECE +47 101
>Jackson: CEEIPPU -- -47 54
#note paul wigley played this on me in 2010 at my second ever tournament and I guess it has been hibernating in that old brain of mine
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: DEINNRT K2 INT.RNED +59 160
>Jackson: CEEIPPU 3I PI.UP +24 78
#note didnt see 13B PILEUP, which is standard and great, but I did like that this creates an Q and X bomb which is really anoying to block cause of the U, and so it could be helpful down the road. Still, simming 7 down immediately on a board that is pretty open is pretty bad, PINUP is cute but PILEUP is too solid to pass up. bad miss.
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: HISTTUV 11C V.TU +14 174
>Jackson: ?CEEFJW 8K .JECt +63 141
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: EHINSST 12F SITHENS +74 248
>Jackson: DEFSTWX J8 DEX +45 186
#note This now sims 13 below just XI. I didnt like that DEFSTW almos tnever bingoes, but FSTW barely bingoes more. I liked having the QI threat still open for later, and now a Z threat, but perhaps it's now too much. I dont hate this play still but hard to argue, DEFSTW can also have better average leavest next turn cause of EST
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: AAEMNQY 2J Q. +62 310
>Jackson: ?FHOSTW 6J F.OTH +40 226
#note could do FROW or HOWF, the former of which I strongly considered, but I like the Y hook longterm as a threat, plus the S hook could be useful. Usually with S in hand the S hook would be great, but with ? in hand, unless I can draw the Z and a huge play there, I will not want to spend the blank for a 40-50 point play on the O column, meaning I would have to play a 6 out of the rest of my 6 tiles, which is hard to do. That said it is possible, could draw WIZENS or some random thing keeping the blank, which is nice to have. I also liked staying closer in range with FROTH. Sims a bit better than FROW
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: AAAEMNY G7 MAYA +25 335
>Jackson: ?DIMNSW 10F M.W +25 251
#note missed INDOW this turn, far better to get closer in range.
>Josh_Sokol-Rubenstein: AACEENZ O8 .ACAN +7 342
>Jackson: ?DGINSW 14A DoWSING +86 337
#note now I did see INDOW, but figured I should still go with DOWSING. A raw sim actually disagrees, and I had a strong feeling Z was in his range after TACAN, which made me not love DOWSING. That said, I figured wiht FROTHY open as long as he doesnt hit ZEDA it could work out. In retrospect, given TACAN keeps AZ so much, and EZ when not that, with the amount of other As and Es in the pool, he hits ZEDA a ton of the time, I should have trusted my intuition that the Z was in his range. I was just hoping it was not.
