>Joey: EIILPRU 8G PIU +10 10
#note I never considered EURIPI. That's probably better, but it's hard to score much against this.
>Carl: ?LOPTTY H3 sPOTT.LY +65 65
#note Of course, no board is bingo proof this early.
>Joey: AAEILOR 10E ALI.A +10 20
#note Another CSW bingo that's annoying to have here. And I'm just fine with that.
>Carl: ABEGINT 6E ABE.TING +69 134
#note This sims even with BEATINGS 3A.
>Joey: EFGIORS 11E GIF +27 47
>Carl: ABCENOO K6 .OCEBO +20 154
#note JM: Thanks to Carl for providing the racks in which he did not bingo. It's about time.
CJ: I was pretty happy with this move, but Quackle isn't impressed. Maybe the possibility of a CH- word at 8K that opens up lanes wipes out the defensive value of NOCEBO. The more straightforward BEACON 12A sims best. (-9)
>Joey: AEEGORS 8K .AGER +27 74
>Carl: AEINRUY 3H .YNURAE +26 180
#note SYNURAE wins the most often in a 4-ply sim, but other plays like PYURIA 4K, YUAN 12C, and YA 5E are all pretty close.
>Joey: AAEKNOS 5D OKA +30 104
>Carl: DDFILQW N6 WI.LD +21 201
#note This is ok, but LEWD N2, setting up QI, must be better. The sim winner is N2 FELID, but I prefer WIELD because it strongly devalues Column O for just five points less. (-4.5)
>Joey: AEEENSX L10 AXE +33 137
>Carl: DEFOQRS 13I FORDS +38 239
>Joey: EEEHNSV 4A EVENS +29 166
>Carl: EQTUVWZ A1 TWE. +21 260
#note I hated making this play so much, but it actually sims best. I also considered TEW 14H, which could hit pretty hard if I draw QUIZ. But in practice, I won't usually draw an I, and even if I do, Joey will often play on row 15.
>Joey: EHIIMMR 2A .HIM +24 190
>Carl: ?DLQUVZ N2 Z.D +26 286
#note Forget this. C1 VILE is clearly best. (-17)
>Joey: EEIMNNR 1D MINER +39 229
#note I'm somehow on the fringe of getting back into this, but I need to play all seven real soon.
>Carl: ?LQRSUV E8 QU.. +14 300
#note It's close, but Quackle prefers to exchange here. (-3)
>Joey: AEINOTU O10 AUNTIE +24 253
>Carl: ?DELRSV 14F VoLED +32 332
#note A moment of truth. I can keep scoring with something like DEVS 12B, or TWEEDLES A1, but there are lots of good bingo letters in the pool, and Joey needs the bingo way more than I do. VOLED isn't perfect; there are four ways Joey can still fit a word on Row 15: EARSHOT, RETAINS, TORSION, and OESTRONE. I didn't see all these in the game, but I did foresee that I would usually draw the J afterward and score big with it, and that Joey would be stuck with it if it was the last tile. Quackle goes for broke with VELDS 12A, which loses to ENRAVISH or COINVEST A8, and probably wins in all other situations. I don't know if my play is right, but it has to be better than Quackle's assessment of (-36.5?)
>Joey: EINOOST 12A OTIOSE +32 285
#note JM: Unfortunately, Carl waited until I had a bingo to prevent it from happening.
CJ: Ok, I looked over every possible rack and determined that VOLED is totally better than VELDS and Quackle doesn't know what it's talking about. Bingos on Row 15 are rare, and I outrun many of them anyway.
>Carl: ACHJRRS C9 HAJ.S +38 370
>Joey: NO M10 NO +20 305
>Joey: (CRR) +10 315
