#player2 Jackson_Smylie Jackson Smylie
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADFILST 8G DIF +14 14
#note 2023 Word Cup Main Event Round 24. I was pumped for this game. It was on board 1 but not streamed because Collins was being annotated in the afternoon. I was 14-9 at this board on a 6 game winning streak. DIF seems fine here.
>Jackson_Smylie: ?AAEORT J4 AEROsAT +67 67
#note The 70 point AERATOR and the 9D AEROSAT choices all seem too dangerous so I think Jackson made the right call here.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ACLSTTU K2 CULT +18 32
#note I took a while on this turn and for good reason. I considered 5E CUTTLES for 36 but didn't like the position it left for some reason plus I may have doubted CUTTLES for some reason. The Championship Player likes CULT best anyways.
>Jackson_Smylie: AEHL L3 HEAL +28 95
>Jonathan_Lindh: ABHORST 7F HOB +17 49
#note Maybe do K9 HOB for 6 more points? I don't think saw that spot for some reason.
>Jackson_Smylie: GIW K9 WIG +21 116
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AEORST 12G aEROSAT +72 121
#note I briefly searched for overlaps but eventually cut my losses. I saw L9 ATONERS for 76 but didn't like it dangled the S in the triple lane. Hpwever, I didn't see 6B SANTERO for 76 or L8 RECOATS for 75. I think 6B SANTERO for 76 is the play here. I decided to do the troll move and duplicate Jackson's previous word. Small mistake which would end up costing me down the line.
>Jackson_Smylie: EORTWY 13B TOWERY +40 156
>Jonathan_Lindh: EEEMOVZ D11 ZO.EE +36 157
#note The moment of truth. I hated keeping MV but ZOWEE was the highest scoring move I saw. 13L MEZE for 38 is the only move that scores more than my play but that placement is even riskier than my play. The Championship Player prefers 13L MOVE for 26 which is also very risky but keeps a Z for scoring the next turn. I can understand the logic. My play is roughly a 4 point mistake but hardly a blunder.
>Jackson_Smylie: AADIMRS 15A MAD.IRAS +149 305
#note Of course, Jackson had the perfect response. He also had ARAMIDS in a few spots so I was probably sunk this game no matter what. Great find by Jackson.
>Jonathan_Lindh: EEILMPV 11D .IP +28 185
>Jackson_Smylie: AIUY B10 YAU.I. +34 339
#note I wonder what Jackson would have done if I played MOVE. Maybe not this? Anyways, this was a great find.
>Jonathan_Lindh: EELMOTV A7 LEVO +26 211
#note Moving tiles now. I'm basically at 0% no matter what.
>Jackson_Smylie: IRUV M9 VIR.U +24 363
>Jonathan_Lindh: EJMNNTT 14L JET +29 240
#note Probably best.
>Jackson_Smylie: ADGNS O10 DANGS +19 382
>Jonathan_Lindh: MNNNPTX -NNNPX +0 240
#note Strange trade. I don't remember why I traded these particular letters but it doesn't really matter at this point.
>Jackson_Smylie: IQ B6 QI +33 415
>Jonathan_Lindh: EFMOSTU J12 .OF +14 254
>Jackson_Smylie: INN C6 INN +19 434
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEMSTUX D2 MUXES +40 294
#note Ooh, D4 MUSTED for 39 saving the X is cool, however, there aren't many good spots for the X on this board.
>Jackson_Smylie: BENO C1 BONE +29 463
>Jonathan_Lindh: CDIKNRT F3 DITC. +17 311
#note 3C NUDNIK for 20 is the star play here allowing me to go out in 2. I probably wasn't finding that at this margin. DITCH isn't a great play.
>Jackson_Smylie: AEEGLNP 9D GLEAN +17 480
#note 2A GNOME for 28 is apparently best here. GLEAN is 5 back.
>Jonathan_Lindh: KNR 4B K.. +14 325
#note KEX is tied for the best play with 4F IRK and INK.
>Jackson_Smylie: EP 2B P..E +16 496
#note Best.
>Jackson_Smylie: (NR) +4 500
#note At first I thought I played the game really badly, but in retrospect, my only really bad play with missing NUDNIK on the DITCH turn when the game was over.
