>Abdul_Majid_Khan: ALNPT 8D PLANT +20 20
>Joshua_Sokol: AAAILOT 9D IOTA +16 16
#note gotta get used to these vowel dumps. I was pretty sure PLANT took an A hook here, which could become important. This sims evenly with 9D or 9E AIA, and slightly ahead of the more reckless 12-point AIA plays hooking PLANTA
>Abdul_Majid_Khan: EGO 10F EGO +15 35
>Joshua_Sokol: AAEILOY 10B YEA +19 35
#note nextdoor in Bob Linn vs Emily Brodeur:

Emily slaps down CARYOTID*, infamous phony, one short of a TWS, Bob does not challenge. He then sacrfices points to block.
>Abdul_Majid_Khan: ?EIINRT 11H NITRIlE +64 99
#note only one bingo to the T in PLANT here.
>Joshua_Sokol: ABEILLO I2 LOBELIA +69 104
#note immediately after, Emily plays MISW(O)UND* 2x2 and Bob, shaken up, challenges after agonizing, exclaiming "I think that stinker's good, damnit!". It comes off. Emily, next turn, plays UNWISD(O)M through another O on the board, and Bob challenges unsuccessfully. I love this game.
>Abdul_Majid_Khan: EINRSTT O5 TINTERS +78 177
>Abdul_Majid_Khan: BGY (challenge) +5 182
#note sadly was unsure of TINTERS. Abdul thought I was challenging NITRILES. Either way, pretty sad to give a nickel for this play.
>Joshua_Sokol: AFGRTUV M9 VU.GAR +26 130
#note thought I could catch him with VULGARS eventually. Sims pretty far behind VUG N4 taking out the huge spot and evenly with VAG H1 taking out the huge spot. Maybe I shouldn't have been trying too hard to play from behind in this spot #questionable
>Abdul_Majid_Khan: BGY 5F GYB. +10 192
>Joshua_Sokol: DDFORTZ J5 DOF +30 160
#note sims close with DOD in the same spot, given the potential for FEZ H1 for 58
>Abdul_Majid_Khan: HO N6 HO +28 220
>Joshua_Sokol: DIRTWWZ 3F WID.W +13 173
#note not looking good unless I draw an S or blank. Also considered WIZ(A)RD 13J to dig deeper and maybe open more long-term. D(E)W C9 sims similarly well to these two. That play does nothing I want.
>Abdul_Majid_Khan: DFILO 14J FLO.ID +36 256
>Joshua_Sokol: EERTUXZ H1 ZE. +41 214
#note feeling pretty rough here, but the X can do things sometimes. Trying to bingo immediately with 13L Z(A)X is a thing, as well as 2E ZEX. #questionable
>Abdul_Majid_Khan: AEHV 15G HAVE +35 291
>Joshua_Sokol: ?ENRTUX 14F XU +30 244
#note stroke of fortune. I'm letting Abdul have too much in this one.
>Abdul_Majid_Khan: DEK 13E KED +28 319
>Joshua_Sokol: ?CENRTU M1 TRoUNCE +80 324
#note as Bernard Gotlieb put it best, "you're trying very hard to win this game, aren't you?" Abdul is in beast mode here.
>Abdul_Majid_Khan: EOQRU 1J QUO.ER +48 367
>Joshua_Sokol: CEEJOPR 13B JOC... +40 364
#note I sadly missed E(KED) completely. I might want to play JEEP/EKED. This is phony, but I felt I needed it an couldn't remember which JOCK words were a thing, and maybe CSW has 'em all. JER(KED) is an option here as well. If I get JER(KED) and COME/CAME 14A I will be in pretty good shape. Sentences like that should be auto-moderated.
>Abdul_Majid_Khan: AMN 14A NAM +32 399
#note 5 points might have cost Abdul the game, so accepting and taking +35 in this endgame seems very reasonable.
>Joshua_Sokol: AEEIMPR 15A EM +30 394
#note moment of truth. Do I have any wins here? This was excruciating, not only because I didn't know if I was missing something, but because I didn't actually know if my threatened outplay was a valid word. As expected, Quackle says no sir. But it isn't obvious, as opposed to after PAIRE 2B first. 15A AIS is just simple. Have to cover this spot and hope.
>Abdul_Majid_Khan: AINSSS 11C ANS +14 413
#note didn't find any wins for Abdul OTB. It's annoyingly difficult to block when you have so many S's that fit the board geometry I need perfectly. SAI 4D gets the job done, and so does SI in the same spot, barely. Abdul can also just power through with 15L ISNA#. Gotta study your high prob 4s. WTF is that
>Joshua_Sokol: AEIPR 2B PAIRE +25 419
#note no challenge, he shows his tiles. I hope this isn't phony anyway. Josh gets the W again, somehow.
>Joshua_Sokol: (ISS) +6 425
