Player 1
#player1 Jonathan_Lindh Jonathan Lindh
#player2 Jackson_Smylie Jackson Smylie
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AAJOOP 8D POOJA +34 34
#note Best. This game was a massive turning point in my tournament.
>Jackson_Smylie: AAEFMNV E7 F.VEA +22 22
#note this wins a sim by a few over FAME 9C, FAVE 7H, which were both plays I considered making to make the position harder. I kinda like FAVE and even F(A)VA - this play is standard but just lets him have some more easy plays, so it's close.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AIILOW F10 WAIL +30 64
#note This or WALI in the same spot.
>Jackson_Smylie: AEHMNRW 13C WHE.M +32 54
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?CDILOO 14G OCeLOID +65 129
#note Surprisngly, this or 14G CONOIDAL for 60 are the only playable bingos. OCELOID seems best.
>Jackson_Smylie: ADNRRTU 15L DART +29 83
#note DARN is a couple better, NU I thought had enough synergy but RTU still bingoes more than NRU
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AEEILY 13I YE +19 148
#note Maybe 12B YEA for 27? Debatable.
>Jackson_Smylie: BINPRRU 12J BURP +21 104
#note I should play BU(H)R here, I missed it - he's fishing with YE and the 15 row can totally kill me if he hits, so it's not so bad to block, even though i'm down - he's more likely to hit than me.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AEHILN 15A INHALEs +84 232
#note H1 ANTHELIA is 92 but it blows the board wide open. 15A HERNIAL is 85 but it creates a sneaky scoring spot at B14. I am fine with my play at this score.
>Jackson_Smylie: AEINNRT O8 INTRANE. +77 181
#note Best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEGORSU N2 AERUGOS +76 308
#note Best.
>Jackson_Smylie: BEGIQUV 3I BEGIV. +30 211
>Jackson_Smylie: BEGIQUV -- -30 181
#note I saw UBIQUE but not QUIVER somehow - maybe I can play QUIVER and hope for an A, S, or Y, and try to get back like that. I think I would hav eplayed QUIVER had I seen it - still, my chances are so slim that trying this phony isn't bad - in a sim I only win 1.5% after BEGIVE and less than 1% after the other plays, and that's not considering the extra upside of him playing phony hooks on BEGIVE if he accepts it.
>Jonathan_Lindh: CEEINUZ O1 ZEN +40 348
#note Whoops. Should have played ZINE here for 9 more points.
>Jackson_Smylie: BEGIQUV 5J UBIQ.E +34 215
#note QUIVER again, bad
>Jonathan_Lindh: ACEEISU 12B EAU +21 369
#note Best.
>Jackson_Smylie: AFGGLRV L4 V.RGA +20 235
>Jonathan_Lindh: CEEISSY I8 SYCE +28 397
#note Best.
>Jackson_Smylie: FGLNOTT 6G LOFT +13 248
>Jonathan_Lindh: EIIKNOS 4G KINO +12 409
#note Blocking.
>Jackson_Smylie: DEGNOTT 3H TOG +15 263
>Jonathan_Lindh: EIMRSST 14A MI +16 425
#note I decided not to fish and just block the X spot. I didn't see any bingos I could hit to the E and it turns out none exist in the pool. I also have to make sure I don't give Jackson a spot for INDITED. I am fine with my play.
>Jackson_Smylie: DDEIINT K8 DIT +7 270
#note pretty cool endgame - this is best, blocking his best 3 X plays, forcing him to play EXON
>Jonathan_Lindh: ERSSTX I1 EX.. +11 436
#note Best. I played this game nearly perfectly. Only minor mistakes were ZEN instead of ZINE and maybe INHALES instead of ANTHELIA. This game was my first win ever against Jackson and set the tone for the rest of my tournament.
>Jackson_Smylie: DEIN 1G DI.NE +18 288
>Jackson_Smylie: (RSST) +8 296
