#player2 Morris_Greenberg Morris Greenberg
>Jared_Cappel: BCKORUW 8D BUCKO +32 32
#note Morris and I meet for our 3rd best of 5 set. I am distracted by NFL playoffs (that starts during game of our set), while Morris is distracted by carrots, hummus, and my incessant chattering. Who will reign supreme?
>Morris_Greenberg: EFLOUXZ F8 .UZ +34 34
#note I was trying to come up with a good sequence for the X and Z, considered F(U)ZEL* to do so but correctly decided it was invalid. Missed (B)OXFUL.
>Jared_Cappel: AGLLORW 7G OWL +20 52
#note Uninspiring play but does sim best.
>Morris_Greenberg: EFLORTX E4 REFL.X +41 75
>Jared_Cappel: AAGLNOR D1 GROAN +22 74
#note 4D ORANG is looking better to not open as much.
>Morris_Greenberg: ABEINOT 2B BA.ITONE +74 149
>Jared_Cappel: AAELOUV 10F .OUAVE +26 100
#note Hated leaving the top of the board open but nothing seemed to fit, so I make the best equity play and open a 2nd spot. Quackle fully agrees.
>Morris_Greenberg: EFISTTT 1I FITTEST +88 237
#note Misscored as 87.
>Jared_Cappel: AAAGILR 3A GIR. +18 118
#note I saw Quackle's top choice of AALII K2 making 5 underlaps but I hated what it did to the board with my major deficit. I didn't see ARGALI 3H which at least can be pluralized and leaves the T open. That's probably best. VIGIA 10K also looks good. I wanted to leave things open but my leave is too weak and there are better ways to accomplish that goal. This is one of those plays I knew was weak when I was making it. I need to learn from Morris and capitalize on the full 25 minutes allotted to me.
>Morris_Greenberg: EEENTUY 3I YENTE +37 274
>Jared_Cappel: AAILLNS 4L AL +10 128
#note Fishing out of a lack of better ideas. Quackle prefers NAIL 4J.
>Morris_Greenberg: AEEMNUY 5J ENEMY +28 302
#note Quackle slightly prefers NEUME in the same spot, I liked how definitive this play was in shutting down bingo lanes, though NEUME is only slightly less closed of a play.
>Jared_Cappel: ACEILNS H10 .NCIAL +33 161
#note Great block by Morris taking out all of my bingos (and he even apologized for how crushingly defensive his play was). If he plays NEUME, I bingo back for like 85 pts. In this position, Quackle likes A3 GLANCE for WP% or A3 GALENIC for valuation (my play is 2nd best valuation).
>Morris_Greenberg: ADMOQUV 14F QU.D +34 336
>Jared_Cappel: DEIOOPS A3 .OOPED +33 194
#note He blocks POOLSIDE, and I get away with the phony GOOPED*. I wasn't trying to phony, but in hindsight I've phonied with this word before so I should try and remember it's no good.
>Morris_Greenberg: ADGIMOV 15C VAGI +20 356
#note Missed VOMI(C)A.
>Jared_Cappel: EHIIRRS 2N HI +22 216
#note I can play SHRI or RISHI with ZOUAVES (Quackle's top choices) but I've committed to fishing so let's keep trying.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?DMOPSW B5 POW +25 381
>Jared_Cappel: AIJS L7 AJIS +38 254
#note I thought about just dropping the J but didn't see what it would hit after Morris makes a blocking play, so I blow things up and hope to draw a blank to cut meaningless spread. Quackle agrees the fish doesn't work.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?DHIMST K9 M.H +20 401
>Jared_Cappel: ?EINRRS 12C RESoR.IN +68 322
#note Morris asked me after the game if I looked for bingos from the L. I did not. I played the first bingo I saw, as Morris was, as always, very low on clock. Interestingly, with the pool this strong, RESORCIN looks like it might be the better bingo to limit his chances of bingoing back (RESORCIN has a valuation of 26 vs LORINERS having a valuation of 5.5 despite LORINERS scoring 8 more).
>Morris_Greenberg: ?ADDIST 15H .ADDIeST +83 484
