>Michael_Fagen: EHIMNU 8H INHUME +28 28
>Noah: ADEITUX 9M XU +34 34
#note I think I saw and quickly dismissed EXUDATE, but in analysis, am thinking it could have a bit more merit than I realized if he is not sure about EXUDATED*. Still, XU or TUX seem fine. I think I ran a short sim and it liked XU by a fair bit. During the game, I pondered both.
>Michael_Fagen: AFO 9F OAF +12 40
>Noah: ABDEILT N8 D.TIABLE +89 123
>Michael_Fagen: AGIT O12 GAIT +38 78
>Noah: EEGOOPR J4 GEOP.ORE +68 191
#note I think I formulated my plan with this rack pretty quickly before he played: play GEOPROBE if he doesn't block, and otherwise, play GEOPHORE*, which I think I was close to sure was no good. It feels a little familiar, like I might've tried it on a word quiz or in a game before. I might've been unsure at first whether I really wanted to play this, but I think I might've been more resolved to try it once he played GAIT, and am pretty sure I played it quickly after his choice.
>Michael_Fagen: AAW M11 AWA +31 109
>Noah: ACFOSVY 10C CAVY +33 224
#note Pretty sure of this rack.
>Michael_Fagen: CDEEILS 12D DECILES +87 196
>Michael_Fagen: CDEEILS -- -87 109
>Noah: DFIOQSS 8D QIS +28 252
#note I don't think I considered DECILES 5E, and once he played it, I wondered if I should've chosen QIS K3, which I also considered. I wasn't sure whether I wanted to play this, which does seem to close the board down pretty well. DEICES is present for him at 8A after QIS K3, which makes QIS 8D looks kind of nice, because after it, DECIL(E)S creates a very shut board ... though I do wonder if there could be openings on it that make things tricky for me later on. QIS K3 + 8A DEICES also seems to start hampering things, but I feel like the DEICES openings are harder to close effectively ... QIS 8D + DECILES just leaves almost no immediate bingo potential. There could also be spread reasons to play QIS K3 or perhaps even QADI / QAID D9.
>Michael_Fagen: CDEEILS 5E DECIL.S +40 149
>Noah: DDFMOSU 6E OF +29 281
#note Also looked at OF, DOM, DUOMI. I think I was pretty focused on not opening lanes here - I don't think I considered FUMED. DOM is kind of attractive with four Ns left for FUNDI, though I might be reluctant to actually play that, and OF leaves some middling scoring potential as well (DUOMI, MUD 4D).
>Michael_Fagen: BEIN 4H BE.IN +33 182
#note My scoresheet has "BE(G)UN" written down for Michael's play on this turn, but I think he must have played BE(G)IN.
>Noah: DDMSU 4D MUD +23 304
#note I'm not sure what I kept here. I might've considered something that seemed a bit better equity but played this to block the very marginal row 3 and wondered if I should really be bothering.
>Michael_Fagen: RTU D8 .U.RT +28 210
>Noah: DISV 13B VIS +27 331
#note Again, not sure what I had. I think I was uncomfortable about parting with my S, but didn't see another good way to block his (big) opening.
>Michael_Fagen: AKLTY 3K TALKY +29 239
>Noah: AOT 2L TAO +23 354
#note Again unsure of what I had ... maybe at least a G, because I sort of think I considered GOY or something else on column O. Maybe AEEGORT.
>Michael_Fagen: ALW 1M AWL +31 270
>Noah: DE 7L ED +22 376
#note I feel like I had GO here and saw GOD 3G. Maybe DEEGNOR.
>Michael_Fagen: EHNR K11 HERN +24 294
>Noah: EEGNNOR L14 ON +5 381
>Michael_Fagen: IOR H1 ORI.. +21 315
>Noah: ?EEGNOR 2C ERiGE.ON +64 445
>Michael_Fagen: ?IPRSTZ 1A ZIP +46 361
#note We briefly looked at this endgame afterward ... it looked pretty complex, due to potential SPRItZ setups on row 15. Some Champ runs suggest that ZEP C1 is just more optimal than (I)T C13, though the valuation numbers suggest that Champ is missing stuff: it doesn't rank (I)T second on the run for the present turn, despite the next turn's numbers suggesting that it does better than its second favorite for the present turn: SRI 3B. Still, ZEP might just be optimal anyway.
