>Joey_Krafchick: AEHJRSZ G11 HAJ +31 31
#note The other side is a bit better
>Jackson_Smylie: DIIIPRU I11 PIU +20 48
#note RUPIAH is okay, but I preferred this
>Joey_Krafchick: AELORSZ J8 LAZE +42 73
>Jackson_Smylie: ?DIINRT K11 DIN +30 78
#note DINITRO plays but I liked this better, sim agrees
>Joey_Krafchick: AENOORS 8G O.O. +6 79
>Jackson_Smylie: ?BIORRT K3 ORBITeR +74 152
>Joey_Krafchick: AAEINRS 14F AI +18 97
>Jackson_Smylie: AAILRRW E11 WIRRA +19 171
#note tough call here with how aggressively to deal with the HAJIS spot. I could do nothing and play WIR(R)A, go all in with RAW for 12, or play this middling play. given how strong his range is, I don't like just leaving it, and given he often has an extra vowel (AEIRS type stuff), I didn't hate making him start with S, cause with vowels its slightly harder to start with a consonant. The problem with WIRRA here is that I will likely have to deal with HAJIS next turn or in the future, so it can make my life more difficult. I think I would do RAW if I could do it again, but I'm not positive - with a lot of ranges specified this seems pretty fine
>Joey_Krafchick: ADENRSX J5 AX +54 151
>Jackson_Smylie: AELNOOT D10 LOO +15 186
#note debated LOO vs. ATONAL for a while - ATONAL deals with HAJIS finally, but totally cripples my rack, and if joey bingoes on column D or rows 7 or 3, I am way worse off than after a play like LOO, which blocks a higher scoring lane and keeps well to counter bingo. I think ATONAL is a bit better this time
>Joey_Krafchick: DENNRSS 15G SEND +30 181
>Jackson_Smylie: AEEEENT 4H ENT.EE +24 210
>Joey_Krafchick: ADELNRS C5 SNARLED +69 250
>Jackson_Smylie: ACDEEEO 8A CO.ED +27 237
#note considered OCREA as well. The board isn't too closed right now, but joey could easily close the 3 lane and start shutting me in, so I loved how CORED made not only an E column lane but a really tough to block A column lane, which could easily stay open for most of the game. Sim prefers OCREA by a bit, but I think longterm this is better. it's also somewhat consonant heavy in the pool, so AEE isn't as bad as usual
>Joey_Krafchick: AEEEKSU 14J AKEES +36 286
>Jackson_Smylie: AEEFGIM 15M FIG +28 265
#note tough turn. I could go with MAFIA and try to chip away at his lead, but I like keeping some better bingo prospects. I'm not too worried about closing the ES lanes of AKEES, partly cause I have Es on my rack, but also cause I have tons of lanes to work with and the S doesn't score much anyways, plus I block some scoring plays.
>Joey_Krafchick: EILNTUW H1 UNW.T +24 310
>Jackson_Smylie: AEEGMRV M3 V.GA +16 281
#note Unconventional play. REGMA or REGAVE are more standard here, but again I'm choosin to go for the bingo to get back in the game, with a bunch of scoring tiles out and a 45 point deficit I don't love my chances at coming back normally. I think REGAVE is totally fine though, EM still bingoes a fair amount (less than EEMR but not crazily), plus the extra scoring pressure may prevent him from playing some bingo defense. looks close to me, since the N column can come in handy for many turns to come
>Joey_Krafchick: EIILNOT 2A LENITIO. +70 380
>Jackson_Smylie: CEEIMRU A1 C.IME +36 317
#note not dead yet - if I can land a bingo I'll almost certainly win, and a sim puts it at about 17%. worth noting that I shouldnt play CLUE here, which does bingo a bit more, but lets him play QI leaving 1 in the bag, which outruns a lot of bingoes
>Joey_Krafchick: FGPQSYY D1 Q. +21 401
#note QI wins 6/8, losing if Joey draws the M or the V (CURATIVE or many bingoes on the N column). Playing GYPSY now also loses with those draws, cause I get sTRUMAE on column O. The only play that wins 7/8 seems to be G(EL) 10B, which only loses with the V draw. I can never score quite enough in the endgame with a Q stick to catch him.
