>Eric_Goldstein: EFIRTT 8D FITTER +26 26
>Arie_Sinke: ABBENOO 7B BOOB +18 18
#note I thought about this for a while, and it looks like this is the best I can do. Sim concurs. Options like BABOO (7A or 7H) or BABOON 7H give back too much, and BOO anywhere sacrifices points for no real reason; the Bs don't do anything good for the leave and I would like to get rid of them.
>Eric_Goldstein: AKY 7H YAK +19 45
>Arie_Sinke: AAEJNRS 6F JAR +32 50
#note My only real options are this play and TAJ F8 for 26. My play sims substantially better (like 2.5 points) even though retaining the R with TAJ boosts my odds of bingoing next turn by 14% (43% to 57%). I assumed that the two plays would be closer, with my play better by a hair.
>Eric_Goldstein: EE J5 EE. +9 54
>Arie_Sinke: AELNNOS 6C NO +10 60
#note NANO 6A for 20 and LOAN 4J for 16 sim substantially better than my play. I may be misevaluating the value of a leave like AELNS relative to a strong three tile leave here. I bingo 50% of the time after NO but still bingo 36% of the time after NANO.
>Eric_Goldstein: EEL 4J LEE +14 68
>Arie_Sinke: AELNNSS L3 L.ANNESS +59 119
#note This is my only bingo. If I miss this I could play ALOOFNESS for 48.
>Eric_Goldstein: DEGIILN 3D ELIDING +72 140
>Arie_Sinke: ADIIORZ 4A AZIDO +40 159
#note This looks best, optimizing score, leave, and defense. ZOEA D1 gives back too much.
>Eric_Goldstein: GTW H1 TW.G +30 170
>Arie_Sinke: EINRUUW B2 WU. +30 189
#note Best by far.
>Eric_Goldstein: ACCM 8K M.CCA +33 203
>Arie_Sinke: AEINRRU N8 .URARINE +74 263
>Eric_Goldstein: FNU O13 FUN +31 234
>Arie_Sinke: DEIIOPQ 8A QI +37 300
#note This looks best.
>Eric_Goldstein: AOV 10I AVO. +15 249
>Arie_Sinke: DEIOOPR 12G DROOPIE. +74 374
#note Only bingo.
>Eric_Goldstein: EGIORST B7 ..GOTRIES +78 327
#note BIGOTRIES is the only bingo. This is a great find.
>Arie_Sinke: AELPSTV A14 PA +22 396
#note My play does not sim particularly well, but I still think it's a better play than the sim realizes, though I have to admit that it may not be best. By playing PA, I make it extremely difficult to bingo without using the T or the A. With two blanks unseen, there is a plethora of nines available on either side of row 15, but most of them would be very difficult for any human being to find. My hope is that I can make an effective block of the T next turn, preferably armed with better knowledge of Eric's rack. I score enough that I am unlikely to get outrun by something like HEXAD A1. Quackle likes PLATE M1, which leaves one in the bag, essentially forcing Eric to bingo immediately, and scoring enough to likely outrun some low scoring bingos. That would probably have done the job for me. Perhaps my play's biggest weakness is that it doesn't play enough tiles, giving Eric too much time to fish.
>Eric_Goldstein: HY 15A ..HY +14 341
>Arie_Sinke: ?EHLSTV 14A ..S +10 406
#note This is actually a really good play, as it totally blocks all the openings Eric just created while leaving a tile in the bag. I will always lose to ToXAEMIA, and will lose to DIAsTEMA, AnIMATED, and MUrIATED if I don't draw the X. Anything else loses to a variety of bingos on row 14.
>Eric_Goldstein: ?AEIMTX O1 ToXAEMI. +101 442
>Arie_Sinke: ?EHLTUV N2 LaTHE +41 447
#note This is my best endgame play, which I was happy to find with 30 seconds left on my clock.
>Eric_Goldstein: D M12 .D +20 462
>Eric_Goldstein: (UV) +10 472
