Player 1
#player1 Karl_Higby Karl Higby
#player2 Jonathan_Lindh Jonathan Lindh
>Karl_Higby: AJLOPUU H7 PUJA +26 26
#note Thank you to Karl for providing his racks! I was winless against Karl coming into the game and I was hoping to change this. 8D or H4 JOUAL for 40 looks best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEEIOPT I7 APO +26 26
#note APO is best equity but the sim surprisngly likes I8 POET by a small amount. I'm not sure I agree with that. I was trying to limit Karl's options here while scoring a bunch.
>Karl_Higby: FIILNOU J5 FILO +19 45
#note FILO blocked every place for my stem bingo the next turn. Except the one I missed.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEEINRT 5I E. +5 31
#note This was bad. I saw the three bingos but I didn't think any of them fit. RETINAE does with a 5 tile overlap.
>Karl_Higby: AGIINUZ K8 NAZI +32 77
#note Best play.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEINNRT 4C ENTRAIN +68 99
#note Only bingo.
>Karl_Higby: EGORUWY 3C YOU +26 103
>Jonathan_Lindh: ACDEERT 2A CATERED +86 185
#note Best play. I saw REACTED for 88 but didn't like the R in the A2 spot. Quackle agrees.
>Karl_Higby: EGGINRW A2 .REWING +42 145
#note 1F WIGGER for 41 is the other good possibility.
>Jonathan_Lindh: EILSTUV 1G EVIL +24 209
#note Didn't see RIVULETS at all and focused too much on F1.
>Karl_Higby: CEEGNNU 10D GENU. +8 153
>Jonathan_Lindh: BDERSTU 12H BURSTED +90 299
#note Best play.
>Karl_Higby: CDEHNOR M8 CHOR.D +32 185
#note Quackle suggests the volatile N10 HODDEN for 38 for a chance at comeback. CHORED is pretty close.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AFIISY A1 S....... +42 341
#note I decided to play defense and take the SCREWING spot with 2 S's unseen.
>Karl_Higby: EGKMNTW K2 KENT +28 213
>Jonathan_Lindh: AFIRY 13D FAIRY +19 360
#note Playing defense and locking the board down.
>Karl_Higby: BGLMMTW 8M .WM +30 243
#note This or E10 EMBALM.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AIIIOS 4K .AOI +8 368
#note Blocking and getting rid of vowels.
>Karl_Higby: BEGLMTX 12C BELT +26 269
#note N10 XED for 54 was available but I would have had OILIEST at B7 if XED came down.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ??IILOS N7 I.IS +18 386
#note Best play. Quackle agrees with me. I saw that the N10 X spot and the N6 triple letter were two of the few ways I could lose. This plays takes both of them out at once. One of my favorite plays of the tournament.
>Karl_Higby: AGMOTVX M3 V.X +26 295
#note I'm not sure I have this rack recorded right. If I did, this is best.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ??EHLOO 5E HE +26 412
#note Still no bingos. This looks best.
>Karl_Higby: ADGMOQT 9C QAT +27 322
>Jonathan_Lindh: ??ALOOS H12 ..e +7 419
#note One of the craziest setups I have ever. Designating a lone blank as an E to set up an out. GURNARDS for 122 got most of the attention, but this play is right up there with GURNARDS and may be a smidge better. The Championship Player doesn't find this play, but when added to a simulation it jumps to the top. I think I retracked 5 times to make sure Karl didn't have any hooks that hooked BYE.
>Karl_Higby: DEGMO 6F MO +21 343
#note Blocking with I14 MO or DO or just playing B5 ODE for 22 is 1 point better but there is no way to fully block this. I just play SOLANO if Karl plays MO or DO.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?ALOOS 15H SALOOn +42 461
#note SALOOP, SALOON, MOOLAS, and LOOFAS are all 42.
>Jonathan_Lindh: (DEG) +10 471
