#note really disliked obligee for board exhaustion, top left quadrant is never gonna be open and this board could get very closed very fast which i dont really want against chris. obe does make a nice bingo lane, but i dont have any of the hooks and it closes 3 of my best 8 lanes. i know this leave is awful but if i survive it long term its gonna be better for the board for my plan. if i had seen borage i would jave played it tho. lucky for me this blocked chris' monster play

#note didnt really wanna fish but dont have too much else. if this was good itd be best after a long sim. el is intriguing. also sim prefers 5m el to 6m el for 2 less for some reason. probably since you get the g on the double a little more when you bingo next turn on the triple. chris held for a bit and kinda shrugged like he figured it probably wasnt good but it was onyl18 points so he declined to risk it

#note well nationals done. finished 19-12 +394 finishing in 9th, just outside the money (although i got payed 8th place prize bc Alan Stern got a class prize which was more) and surpassed my target rating of 1600. I accomplished a lot this nationals. I came back from being close to dead last and overcame a terrible day 1. But i cant help but have a sour taste in my mouth at how i played. Naturally my takeaways are everything i missed rather than my good plays but after analyzing i played way worse than i imagined and missed some crazy easy finds that i wouldn't (and shoudn't) make. I chalk it up to carelessness really. Sure, i was pretty rusty coming in with high prob stuff since it had probably been since before 2019 nationals since i reviewed that, and besides 1 month before this nationals i hadnt studied since covid started (but i really forgot how much i enjoyed it) so i figured i would probably miss some stuff i should find, but its really angering after going through everything. What is more angering to me, more than the missed bingos, is the really bad misses of obvious plays which i usually see really quickly, i didnt see at all. And most of the misses i really cant explain which is the saddest part. Anyway, my point is i played like shit and i have a lot to improve.. I have to trust myself because almost every time i saw a play instantly it was good, and if i found something later and was questioning it it usually wasnt, and i usuaklly got called on it. Good news is im gonna improve and come back to a point where i actually think i can win it
