>Clay: AAWY 8F AWAY +20 20
>Will: EHJOPRT 7E PHOT +23 23
#note Tanked for a while on this play. Something about HAJ just felt weak, not holding an I and keeping a marginal leave. I was somehow able to recall that THEREAWAY# was not an option for me to fish for here (though it would've been an absurdly difficult challenge, IMO), so no I6 JOY. The nice thing about PHOT is that it makes a HAJ underlap and JOW overlap for me to use, but those aren't likely to be around after Clay's next move much of the time. Still, I'm ok with this move.
>Clay: BO I6 BO. +20 40
>Will: AEIIJNR F7 ..JI +16 39
#note Balked at J5 JIN after Clay's move of BOY, which implied a strong bingo leave, including a possible D for DJIN. It also set up heavy JO reparallels. However, if Clay had had another O, he likely would have played BOYO here instead rather than keep it. So JIN is probably safer than usual on that basis, creating an O overlap which opponent is unlikely to have. Then again, I don't have an O either, and I'm drawing 3 just like he did. Either way, JIN scores 13 extra points, which is a whole lot. It sims 2.5 points better than HAJI.
>Clay: EORTV 9H VOTER +25 65
>Will: AEEEINR 8K AERIE +23 62
>Clay: GRUU E10 GURU +13 78
>Will: CEELNOO J4 COON +25 87
#note Tons of close options here. I felt COON bridged the gap best between scoring and bingoing, keeping at least one consonant with my Es. Sim still slightly prefers EON in the same spot by about one point, keeping the more balanced CELO. I can live with COON.
>Clay: ?EHINOT 4H IN.HOaTE +78 156
>Will: EEILOTW K4 .EW +30 117
>Clay: OX D12 OX +31 187
>Will: EGIILOT E5 GI. +12 129
#note This move sims best, but I think I should have done 3H GI, using the same tiles but preserving two good sevens lines on rows 2 and 4.
>Clay: ADEKLNR C6 RANKLED +72 259
>Will: EILORTV 3B OVERLIT +74 203
>Clay: AZ 3M ZA +44 303
>Will: AFILMTT 8A MI.T +21 224
#note LOFT setting up the A didn't occur to me, though MINT is decent.
>Clay: ?ADEFII A6 rA.IFIED +64 367
>Will: AFLNSTU B2 F.UL +14 238
#note Maybe D1 FUEL, or maybe just give up with O1 FUSEL
>Clay: DEP 5M PED +25 392
>Will: AENQRST 1A QAT +44 282
>Clay: CDENSU N8 .NCUDES +32 424
>Will: EGLMNRS N2 L...R +14 296
#note Not good. Tanked forever here and couldn't come up with anything interesting until throwing this down with little time. I forgot ELATER until I hit my clock.
>Clay: ABS O1 BAS.. +38 462
>Will: EEGMNSS M12 EME +23 319
#note Needed to block AYIN, but also needed to keep an outplay. M13 MEG does this (NESS O11)
