#note First Nationals with CSW dictionary. Didn't touch Scrabble during COVID and forgot the little CSW that I knew. Started cramming in December with the goal of cashing in 2022 and being more competitive in 2023. I got through all the 4s and 5s, a small number of 6s, and maybe three quarters of the bingos. It's a lot of words, but I was definitely super shaky on them. I could have focused on learning fewer words and being solid on them, but I wanted to give myself a chance to find the low-mid prob bingos. I mostly wanted to maintain focus, make consistently good choices, and actually put some effort into endgames.
>Matthew_Tunnicliffe: DKNOQTT H3 KNOTT.D +13 13
#note Tough turn. I perhaps placed too much value in the chance of me drawing into QA(T). Opp is averaging 5 points more after this play, though. It's probably due to the easy extensions. Exchanging QKT is simming ~4 pts ahead. You can justify this if you think you're more likely to spot the extensions, but it's not like they're difficult.

#note Breaking the ice with my first bingo of the tournament. It is likely only downhill from here.

#note Lots of choices. ROUNDELS, UNSOLDER, B2 LOUDENS and M9 NOUSLED all score similarly but impact the board quite differently. I missed the NYAH hook, so I did not consider LOUDENS. I chose ROUNDELS to eliminate easy L1 plays and planning to play at 8K next turn to block TEXTISMS plays. I maybe overthought this and should just take the points with NOUSLED. I shouldn't care too much about giving up the N column.
>Eric_Kinderman: AGILNOP B6 GALOPIN +80 350
>Matthew_Tunnicliffe: EIIOOSS 11G .OI. +17 393
#note Played this turn too quickly and failed to spot a couple other candidates. 14G NOISE is 22 points, 7H TOONIE begins to obstruct the right side of the board, which should be my goal. COIR risks having another rack of low-scoring plays next turn. NOISE sims 2 points ahead of the other candidates.

#note Meh... didn't do the math to confirm JAW outruns worst-case SALVOING and wins by 2. No need to leave a tile in the bag. This is lost spread.

#note Not the right endgame. It's better to play AWEEL first because of L8 AUE. But the star choice I saw too late: just AWEE.
