>Chris_Schneider: ACLOV 8D VOCAL +28 28
#note 2022 World Cup Main Event Round 31. I went from 2-4 -198 to being gibsonized in the last game. What a comeback. And what's my reward for being gibsonized? More Scrabble! Nobody had byes in rounds 29-31 because somebody had to leave early so we were even.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AAAGGLO 9G GAGA +17 17
#note Debated between GAGA, D8 VAGAL, and 9G GOA. Quackle thinks I chose best.
>Chris_Schneider: EEILPT 8J PELITE +31 59
>Jonathan_Lindh: ALLNOTW 10J WALL +31 48
#note 10I OWL for 33 is best. WALL sets up a hard to deal with Y hook.
>Chris_Schneider: AEMRUWX - +0 59
#note Exchange 6. Not actual rack.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ANNOSTY 11D TANNOYS +79 127
#note Best play.
>Chris_Schneider: ?BCINOS O2 BINOCl.S +62 121
#note 2nd best play behind O2 BICORNES for 64. This almost came into play at the end.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DENTUUW H11 .WNED +39 166
#note 2 U's are bad, but OWNED scores way better than anything else. Quackle likes 12A UNWED for 27 a tad more than OWNED but my play is 2nd best.
>Chris_Schneider: OOR 12B ROO +10 131
#note Underscored by 2.
>Jonathan_Lindh: BEITUUU A12 BITE +36 202
#note Should be BUTE but I am probably headed for an exchange soon anyway.
>Chris_Schneider: EJZ 14G J.EZ +40 171
>Jonathan_Lindh: FIKRUUU 3L KUF. +22 224
#note Supposedly best although I was very close to trading here. My play blocks a bunch of 8 lanes but does open space for 7's ending with -AS or -IS.
>Chris_Schneider: ?AAERRT 4G ERRATAs +77 248
#note Best play for Chris. Excellent find. nARRATER or bARRETER for 61 probably won't do the trick for Chris.
>Jonathan_Lindh: EIRSUUU -UUU +0 224
#note Exchange 3.
>Chris_Schneider: EOX H1 OXE. +33 281
>Jonathan_Lindh: EIINRRS D11 ..RI +4 228
#note Need to bingo very soon or else I am losing this game.
>Chris_Schneider: OUY N10 YOU +33 314
#note I think this may have been an H setup which makes this play even more awesome.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEEINRS 5B NEREIDS +81 309
#note Best play. 26.36% to win.
>Chris_Schneider: AHTU O12 HAUT +42 356
>Jonathan_Lindh: DFIOPQU J2 QU.D +34 343
#note I was close. Quackle prefers QUA instead of QUAD.
>Chris_Schneider: EV 2F VE. +21 377
>Jonathan_Lindh: DFIIOPR B2 POI.D +24 367
#note M12 DIF for 21 or 4A FIDO for 33 sim best, but nothing has above a 20% winning %. This was a decent error.
>Chris_Schneider: EIMT A6 ITEM +21 398
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEFIIRS C1 RIF +26 393
#note There was a winning sequence none of us figured out. I was correct the winning sequence involved hooking (JEEZ)E but I didn't come up with FIE/JEEZE and SARI/QUADS. I didn't even find an out in two. The best Chris and I came up with was FRIAR and then SEI/JEEZE which would have won by 1 under our incorrect score (we didn't account for ROO being underscored by 2) but would not have held up under a recount. FIE and then SARI wins by 1 under the correct score and 3 under our incorrect score. Either FIE and then SARI or SARI and then FIE yields the same spread (assuming Chris plays OGHAM).
>Chris_Schneider: GHMN E8 .GH.M +20 418
#note M12 HM for 23 is best by 4 here but both plays win 100%.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEIS K13 SEI +24 417
#note Best play but no wins.
>Chris_Schneider: N 14N N. +4 422
#note G7 NAG and 2B PIN are 5 each.
>Chris_Schneider: (A) +2 424
#note Final scored recorded as 422-417. Final score should have been 424-417. Some final numbers for the tournament. I won the Division 3 Early Bird with a 4-2 +333 record and the Main Event with a 22-9 +780 record. My scoring averages were 412-356 in the Early Bird and 407-384 in the Main Event. I had 10 bingos and 5 blanks vs. my opponents' 10 bingos and 7 blanks in the Early Bird. I had 50 bingos and 28 blanks vs. my opponents' 51 bingos and 32 blanks in the Main Event. 2 missed bingos in 6 games in the Early Bird and 10 missed bingos in 30 games in the Main Event (one game was a bye). Very pleased!
