#note pretty close between phenix, hex, vixen, and juvie. I didn't see phenix. I felt like HEX was too rough for the next couple turns on this board, even though it's the most immediately defensive and scores well. JUVIE felt it handed back too many easy points. VIXEN is somewhere in between, and HJP works decently with this board, better than a lot of stuff he could have. They all sim pretty close

>Jackson: DEHLLOP J3 HOLP +31 88
>Morris: ?ENNRST K6 STuNNER +70 132
>Jackson: AADELOW 3I W.ALE +30 118
#note might do WHALED at a lot of scores, but being down I prefer WHALE
>Morris: BMOORUY N2 BROOMY +50 182
>Jackson: ADDIORT O5 DOAT +27 145
#note I like this, prefer it to stuff like KIDDO, which exhausts the bottom too much. This makes a RYA lane that can be useful
>Morris: EELTTTU L10 UTE +14 196
#note TUT/FUGU is a bit more standard here, but this closes the better 8s lanes and leaves just the S hooks. Could be an annoying board later on, since 5 tile plays from the K don't block STUNNERS, but the defense is nice immediately
>Jackson: ADEFIIR L1 FI.ED +26 171
#note the D didn't feel very useful on this board, but I could do FILA
>Morris: ELOTTYZ 6D O.Y +21 217
#note TE for 13 is the highest static play. I think I prefer two plays to OXY here (besides O1 OY, which I think is worth the extra point to play) - TE(X)T and (K)ETOL. The former sets up ZLOTY for next turn at not much immediate sacrifice, and the latter reaches downwards and can let him close STUNNERS next turn, while keeping the Z for REZ.
>Jackson: AEINRRS 7M R.. +7 178
#note considered RAS/VIXENS as well to open the board. A sim prefers it, makes sense. I bingo quite a bit with EINR and AEINRS isn't amazing on this board, some bingoes won't have a home.
>Morris: EEILTTZ K1 ET. +10 227
#note he passed up ZIT/REZ here given my range, but I think TIZ is worth playing
>Jackson: AEIMNRS 10A MARINES +71 249
#note I think I chose wrong here - REMAINS lets me score more on average next turn (opening multiple spots, not just one), and lowers his immediate bingo %. Given his range after ETA, that's all the more reason to play REMAINS. I did dodge a bullet though, even though I think it's tough to infer a Z with ETA
>Morris: AEHILTZ A8 AL.EH +42 269
>Jackson: ACGINOS J9 AGNOSIC +82 331
>Jackson: ACGINOS -- -82 249
#note greedy and bad, I was not positive this was phony
>Morris: ?EIRTTZ B6 ZIT +34 303
>Jackson: ACGINOS 1H GON.. +27 276
#note OCA/HO is worth considering too, as well as COS/WHALERS
>Morris: ?EEEORT 4D E.E +12 315
>Jackson: AACIISV J11 VIA +15 291
#note shoulda gone all in with M12 VIA here, or 9i VINCA. I should leave STUNNERS open despite his monster range, hoping it's just a blank and no S and that he misses
>Morris: ?AEIORT 12A .OARIEsT +72 387
>Jackson: ACIOSSW H12 .AW +6 297
#note I didn't fully permute the draws that hit to see if they actually won - CISSOID and COSIGNS (and COUSINS, which I didnt see over the board) can be blocked/just outrun by the Q plays he would have. The only play that actually seems to win is TOW, which wins with CASINGS because it can't be blocked by (E)CU, and can't quite be outrun by Q plays since the C is doubled. I did half the work but skipped the important part. bad.
>Morris: BCDINQU F12 .ND +8 395
>Jackson: CGIOSSU O1 COS +32 329
#note CIS is better than COS, since he will want to play QI/GI to threaten 3B CUB, and GOSU is much better than GISU in that case cause I can drop (E)G(O) to save SOU/TAWS
>Morris: BCIQU 14C QUI. +14 409
>Jackson: GISU 9I GU. +6 335
>Morris: BC 5G C... +6 415
>Jackson: IS B14 SI +34 369
>Jackson: (B) +6 375
