>Geoff_Thevenot: EHU 12D HUE +30 143
>Charles_Reinke: ACDKOSU 13B DUO +23 251
#note CSW fours containing a K are all dumb and I don't like them. I knew I was missing at least fifty different K fours on this rack and I was right. Lots of stuff hinges on me finding (BIN)K.
>Geoff_Thevenot: AW I11 .AW. +24 167
>Charles_Reinke: ACEGKSU K1 SUCKAGE +84 335
>Charles_Reinke: ACEGKSU -- -84 251
#note Still not seeing BINK, there aren't many good plays available. I thought this had a shot, honestly. I've said this word plenty of times in my life.
>Geoff_Thevenot: AIMR K11 .IRAM +19 186
#note Overscored by one. Usually I recount all my opponent's plays, but I must have been using my spare brainpower to come up with creative phonies like SUCKAGE instead.
>Charles_Reinke: ACEGKSU K4 CUKE +26 277
>Geoff_Thevenot: ILSU 15K .UILS +24 210
>Charles_Reinke: AEEGSTY 14M GAE +17 294
#note Starting to play defense now, but playing lockdown defense is harder when you don't know all the hooks - I thought about going the complete opposite direction with 4K (C)AGEY.
>Geoff_Thevenot: IIIV -IIIV +0 210
>Charles_Reinke: DEPRSTY O11 PYR.. +14 308
#note More defense. I am fully aware that Geoff's knowledge of nines, and his ability to find them, is almost without peer. I thought I could probably withstand a bingo through the C of CUKE but the possibility of a bingo down column O was making me uneasy. F10 P(RE)Y(E)D is really neat, keeping ERST while scoring well.
>Geoff_Thevenot: FITX G3 FIXT +21 231
>Charles_Reinke: DEMRSTW 5E WE. +26 334
#note Somehow I'm totally unable to play at H1 despite having a bunch of letters that work in that area. (C)WM looks nice - wish I had seen that. F2 WEM is also totally findable. When I didn't find a play at H1 after a few minutes I think it liquefied my neurons. Further neuronic liquefaction would occur in subsequent turns. SPOILER: I would only draw one more vowel after playing off this E.
>Geoff_Thevenot: RTY H1 TRY +26 257
>Charles_Reinke: DFMRSST F10 F..R. +29 363
#note Couldn't remember if FRERE took an S - it does.
>Geoff_Thevenot: ?AEGIIL 2H .EmIGIAL +66 323
>Charles_Reinke: DGMSSTT M1 M.TTS +14 377
#note MIDST instead...
>Geoff_Thevenot: O 4K .O. +10 333
>Charles_Reinke: DGJOQSV O1 V.OG +30 407
#note S(L)OJD...way to disrespect the one vowel I managed to draw...
>Geoff_Thevenot: ADEILNP 1K DA. +14 347
>Charles_Reinke: DHJPQRS 5J J.D. +15 422
#note 5J Q(U)R(S)H...
>Geoff_Thevenot: EILNO 15C IO +16 363
>Charles_Reinke: HPQRS L7 SH +16 438
#note 4F H(I)PS...TRYP doesn't look very familiar. Limping along to victory here.
>Geoff_Thevenot: ELN 3G ..LE +15 378
>Charles_Reinke: PQR 4F P. +8 446
#note 4F R(I)P...
>Geoff_Thevenot: N 12N N. +5 383
>Geoff_Thevenot: (QR) +22 405
#note Geoff lost 20 points on time, so the final was 386-446.
