>Arie_Sinke: ELNOOPR 8D PELON +20 20
#note This is really not great, not sure what I was thinking here. I should play ORLOP; failing that, POOLER or PORNO or some other play that doesn't leave an O.
>Will_Scott: FIX 9E FIX +45 45
>Arie_Sinke: AAEFORT 7G FORA +31 51
#note Wow, FA in the same spot sims significantly better than anything else; not really sure why. FORA has liabilities defensively; apparently FA is really defensive and bingos a lot next turn. I'm just not capable of evaluating that correctly, I guess.
>Will_Scott: EMMO 6H MEMO +31 76
>Arie_Sinke: ABEHTUV 5I HABU +37 88
#note This looks fine.
>Will_Scott: ELTU 10C LUTE +17 93
>Arie_Sinke: BENOSTV 11B BOTS +30 118
#note I thought this was better than VENOUS L1 for 35. The two plays sim very closely; my play is perhaps very slightly better. I stick with my defensive theme of only making horizontal plays.
>Will_Scott: ADIT 12A DITA +27 120
>Arie_Sinke: ?CENRTV -CV +0 118
#note A bunch of plays are worth making, of which the best is VERTU L1. I just can't flip the switch and see vertical plays this game.
>Will_Scott: ILL A12 .ILL +15 135
>Arie_Sinke: ?ENNRRT -NR +0 118
#note This time exchanging seems to be the right idea; however, I should probably keep ERT? instead of ENRT?, as the board is difficult to bingo on and a bingo is less likely to go down if it's consonant heavy with the L as the only floater.
>Will_Scott: EV 14A .EV +12 147
>Arie_Sinke: ?AEINRT M3 NAsTIER +75 193
#note The defensive option of ANTsIER doesn't put a vowel next to a DWS for two fewer points. It would have helped me in this particular situation, but I am not convinced that it is a better play, though the sim likes it.
>Will_Scott: INZ 8L Z.IN +69 216
>Arie_Sinke: ADGIOUV N2 VUG +19 212
#note Looks right, unappealing but there's nothing better.
>Will_Scott: EGIN D4 GENI. +16 232
>Arie_Sinke: ADEEIOR L8 .EROED +34 246
#note I could do ZAIRE or ZOEAE, but I didn't want to create an S hook with ZAIRE, and I wanted to get those four extra points. AI isn't as developed a leave as DEO or DIR, though. The sim says the three plays are within a point of each other, with ZOEAE being perhaps a very small improvement.
>Will_Scott: EKOR E3 KORE +25 257
>Arie_Sinke: AACEIOU 13I COU.E +22 268
#note A number of reasonable options here. AUDIO 13J cleans up the rack nicely while sacrificing 10 points compared to COUDE and setting up a few scoring spots that I don't have. CIAO F1 gets a lot of love from the sim, but it seems foolhardy to me, the C is just an easy to use gift. I think if I did it again I would play AUDIO, but COUDE is okay.
>Will_Scott: EPR C3 REP +19 276
>Arie_Sinke: AADIINT N6 IN.A +15 283
#note No clue what to do here; no play is particularly appealing, and on a closed board, bingo leaves are devalued. This at least scores a bit more than the alternatives. I don't care for Quackle's suggestions here; IDEA M11 is just too aggressive; ADIT B5 is likely going to set up a good counterplay (same with AID in the same spot). KADI 3E might be okay; the leave is better than the ADIT leave after INIA. This play seems as good as I could hope for, but I am not sure I fully understand these closed board positions.
>Will_Scott: ADEISWY F4 SEW +39 315
>Arie_Sinke: AADISTY K11 YA.D +28 311
#note This wins a sim, but it could be very risky. I'm not sure if I should infer a second S from Will's play of SEW. EW would only be six less, but with a consonant heavy pool it may be good to play an S for fewer points. Ultimately, I am trailing and I need to make something happen, and I need to play this and hope that it works. If I just play AY I'm down a few points and a tempo and probably lose.
>Will_Scott: Q 7C Q. +21 336
>Arie_Sinke: AHIJNST 15G HAJIS +54 365
#note What a fortuitous draw!
>Will_Scott: ACGOTWY 14F CAT +18 354
>Arie_Sinke: DGNOSTY N13 STY +21 386
#note This was okay; I should win by 23 after MONTY H6 with perfect play from both sides (this would win by 14 with perfect play from both sides.)
>Will_Scott: ?AIRW 15M W.e +24 378
>Arie_Sinke: DGNO L3 GN. +20 406
#note I should block RIA with DOR 3A.
>Will_Scott: AIR B1 RIA +8 386
>Will_Scott: (DO) +6 392
