>Steve_Anstandig: MY 8G MY +14 14
>Arie_Sinke: AGOSUXZ 9H AZO +27 27
#note I thought about this play for some time. I also considered GAUZY H4, and didn't really think any of the other options were that great. I liked AZO because it sets up the X; the spot will get blocked most of the time, but when it doesn't I get a nice little 50 point play. The sim says it isn't worth it, and I should just play GAUZY for the superior leave, but only by a smallish margin (1.5 points).
>Steve_Anstandig: EH 10J HE +26 40
>Arie_Sinke: DGINSUX 11K XU +36 63
#note Looks right.
>Steve_Anstandig: ?AAEILS 7F AErIALS +68 108
>Arie_Sinke: DFGINSS 6D GIF +28 91
#note This looks correct, although DIF sims surprisingly well.
>Steve_Anstandig: EGOR 8L OGRE +21 129
>Arie_Sinke: ADENOSS O7 S.ASONED +60 151
#note This is my favorite option of the 4 60 point bingos in this spot; playing at O2 creates more floaters, and ADENOSES O6 creates N column plays.
>Steve_Anstandig: ADIT N11 DITA +23 152
>Arie_Sinke: DNRSUUY D3 DUN.Y +20 171
#note Looks right.
>Steve_Anstandig: AET 6I TAE +13 165
>Arie_Sinke: LORSTTU M12 RUT +19 190
#note K10 EXULT may be an equally good or very marginally better option, ORST is better than LOST. Note that I hold the case S, and am favored by the row 15 hooks.
>Steve_Anstandig: EH 5K EH +16 181
>Arie_Sinke: ILOOSTT 4K TOOL +22 212
#note This looks fine; LOTO in the same spot seems equivalent.
>Steve_Anstandig: EIORRW 3A WOR.IER +24 205
>Arie_Sinke: BEIILSW 3M WEB +28 240
#note Annoying position, as every play has something to dislike. I didn't see LWEI 2E, which is the sim winner, scoring 32 and keeping the acceptable BIS. IILS as a leave after my play is poor. LWEI has the liability of setting up huge plays at 1H, particularly those with the Q, but I need the equity. I eschewed WEB 2F for three more because of A overlaps; the sim puts it slightly ahead but I think I need to play with a modicum of defensiveness here; I am up, and if I can just bingo with RUTS I'll be up by even more.
>Steve_Anstandig: AJ A1 JA. +39 244
>Arie_Sinke: ?FIILSV O1 FI. +24 264
#note A timely blank draw. I eschewed FIBS, correctly. However, I may want to consider VIRL N6, sacrificing only 5 points to get rid of the V. The plays sim close.
>Steve_Anstandig: BCCDQ -BCCDQ +0 244
>Arie_Sinke: ?EILNSV 1A .aVELINS +104 368
#note Best bingo.
>Steve_Anstandig: ACT 5B CA.T +16 260
>Arie_Sinke: EEGMNOP N2 P..ON +26 394
#note Not great, I should probably take the points with PUG L10 for 30 here
>Steve_Anstandig: IKN 2H INK +19 279
>Arie_Sinke: AEEGMQV L10 M.G +30 424
#note There is no realistic way for me to lose, even if I exchange and Steve bingos, as there are only seven in the bag and if he bingos after my exchange he draws the Q. However, I do a bit better after this than exchanging; as I will get AVA for 28 next turn, and often get a U, I, or T to bail out the Q.
>Steve_Anstandig: DELNPRU 7B LE. +7 286
>Arie_Sinke: ABEENQV 2A .VA +28 452
#note This looks fine to me.
>Steve_Anstandig: DIOPRTU 8A POD +23 309
>Arie_Sinke: BCEENQR 4F REC +12 464
#note This endgame wasn't played particularly well by either of us. I should have played LOB first to prevent Steve from going out in two with PURI. Also, I missed that VARNA and HEME scores more than playing the two tiles together (missed VARNA altogether.) And Steve could have played out and saved himself a few spread points.
