#note F11 ELF, this, F13 FA even, all interesting options. Even F(U)LLED 5G if I want to sacrifice a lot for the board. #questionable
>Norma_Lovett_: ?AAEHIT L3 AnTHE.IA +70 172
#note only bingo, question is if you sacrifice 4 points or not. Had a nice discussion with Norma about the position after the game. Told her that she should also worry about bingo defense, not just scoring defense. As it were taking the points was a lot better in this specific instance.
>Joshua_Sokol: ?AEFIKW N1 KAlEWIF. +88 222
#note ah, oops, WAKERIFE is better defensively. Was happy enough with this! First time I've played KALEWIFE. #findingsmall
>Norma_Lovett_: EIIOSUV 1L OI.S +27 199
#note she didn't see just U(K)E. But this play works out tremendously for her, and is actually better than UKE according to Quackle, citing that prospects aren't better just because you kept an S. This is the first S, and there are no hooks for it, so the least valuable S possible I guess. Weird. Even weirder is that here, I added 20 to Norma's score completely randomly. So for the rest of the game, that went unchecked. #mathsaddest
>Joshua_Sokol: IIJNOOU 11C JOIN. +24 246
#note ah, just 5J JU(T) or JO(T) are worth considering as well. I didn't. #questionable
>Norma_Lovett_: EIQRRUV 9A QUIVER.R +80 279
#note :o

she has 299 here according to my scoresheet
>Joshua_Sokol: CGIORSU A7 CO.UI +48 294
#note shoot, CRO(Q)UIS. Another instance of the S having little value on this board, and scoring having maximum value. #findingsmall
>Norma_Lovett_: AIRZ E5 ZAIR. +28 307
#note 327 instead of 307
>Joshua_Sokol: EEGORSV 12B VOE +25 319
>Norma_Lovett_: ACEMNRT 5H .M +8 315
#note lucky she missed the B10 spot. This is the full rack. This only hits with an E. 335 instead of 315
>Joshua_Sokol: AEEGPRS F13 PAR +28 347
#note I missed an amazing play here. I was all ready to drop my P at B9 but her play scared me into doing this, but also made me confident she wouldn't have a great play at 15A. Should not play scared. #questionable
>Norma_Lovett_: ACENRT 15A TRACE. +33 348
#note 368 instead of 348
>Joshua_Sokol: DEEGPRS B8 D.P +25 372
>Norma_Lovett_: DEFLT M10 DELF +19 367
#note 387 instead of 367
>Joshua_Sokol: EEGORST 14J GOEST +29 401
#note so I'm crushing here, but I don't know that. I tried to calculate a complicated line where I dropped the G with JOG, Norma played GNATS/DELFT, and I chickened out of DELFTS and tried to win. So I had to calculate drawing the N mostly, since Norma would be threatening 7C SN(I)T. Seemed like something like 5G T(UM)S would be enough to win in all lines, so I rejected JOG. In this specific instance it obviously wins. I misscored this too, and gave myself 372+29=399... #mathsmall
>Norma_Lovett_: ANNSSTT 12L S.AT +10 377
#note was worried about just (JO)T, but I was starting to see that I had that covered (she has 387 in my made-up universe). The trouble with certain opponents is that they will agree to whatever score you give them, so you gotta be extra careful.
>Joshua_Sokol: EGNR C11 ..G +22 423
>Norma_Lovett_: NNST 5G T.. +7 384
>Joshua_Sokol: ENR 7C RE.N +5 428
>Joshua_Sokol: (NNS) +6 434
#note final score recorded as 434-404. Dah!
