#note he slapped down SIN really quickly and I felt his range was pretty strong here. However, I think I overestimated his range in terms of how hard he's hitting the 15 row. The only tiles that really hit the 15 row are the D and the S, stuff like DEINT or AEINS or DEINS, etc, and there's only one D and one S in the pool. Also, even if SIN keeps good tiles, the board isn't so open, so it could still be stuff like EILNO or whatnot. DUI can be worth playing if his range is really strong for the 15 row, but most of the time it's not and I'm potentially even giving back more bingoes to the D in DUI. That said, him hitting a 15 row bingo is worse than hitting a D column bingo so I don't mind being a bit on the safe side, but with the added risk of keeping EIOU and being unable to capitalize on his opening plays, I think this is a mistake. If the pool had SSS or something and SIN was a bit more clearly a sick range, I think DUI could be okay (vowels are better on closed boards anyway, imo), but I think here I got spooked and didn't properly estimate his range + the true (lack of) defense of DUI.

#note I think I stand by this play, but I could see o10 AI as well. The pool is getting consonant heavy, especially cause TOED usually keeps an E, so CEEIU or EEIU aren't so bad, especially on a more closed board. AI is more aggressive, hoping I can bingo on C or E if I hoard Es and vowels, but I think I prefer CIAO and battling it out on a closed board, and really restricting his 7s options.

#note missed a good option with LIEFER, dropping the E. There's no rush to be too proactive here, even though it doesn't hurt to go for the S a bit. The S might become a good tile but this board isn't great for it right now, so it's way better to score immediate points IMO.
