>Deen_Hergott: AENSTTU 8C TETANUS +66 66
>Arie_Sinke: AFIOQST 9B QI +15 15
#note For the first time in this tournament, my opponent opens the game with a bingo and I find myself starting with a deficit. I think I played this hastily, assuming that it was a no-brainer position, when in fact there are several plays that look better. A clear improvement is QAT, scoring three more while making a very minimal sacrifice in leave. Also, I might want to consider playing QI on top of TETANUS in order to defend against underlaps? I am behind though, maybe the more aggressive choice is appropriate.
>Deen_Hergott: JLO E5 JOL. +22 88
>Arie_Sinke: AAFNOST F5 OF +35 50
#note This looks best.
>Deen_Hergott: ADEHY 9I HEADY +29 117
>Arie_Sinke: AAINOST 10D ATONIAS +71 121
#note SA(TI)ATION and SA(TI)ATION play for 70, but this looks better.
>Deen_Hergott: ABDFINR -6 +0 117
>Arie_Sinke: EEEFHPP 11D HEP +29 150
#note Misscored as 28; don't know what I was thinking here. Also, this play is poor; several other choices are clearly better, including PEEPED L4, PEEP 11C, and even something as simple as EF G5; the leave of EEFP is really weak, and pretty much any leave with an H in it is better if I want to keep scoring.
>Deen_Hergott: ACORT 12D ACTOR +38 155
>Arie_Sinke: EEFNPTY 13G FEY +28 178
#note I realized that FEY forming FACTOR scored one more point, but I liked this play because I set up my T with OFT. Unfortunately for me, this play also set up Deen's bingo. A sim likes EF G5 for 24, which sets up fives ending in Y at H1, by a small margin over my play of FEY. I like my play and EF, and I wish I had a greater aptitude for finding setup plays like EF.
>Deen_Hergott: BELOORS 14H BOLEROS +82 237
>Arie_Sinke: EENOPRT 15K REPOT +35 213
#note Looks best, nothing else scores comparably.
>Deen_Hergott: ADZ 8M ADZ +44 281
>Arie_Sinke: AEIINNU B9 .UININA +36 249
#note Looks best.
>Deen_Hergott: LMU A13 LUM +31 312
>Arie_Sinke: ADEEENR N1 ENDEARE. +74 323
#note Only bingo.
>Deen_Hergott: IRV 1L VI.R +33 345
>Arie_Sinke: ?ABDEKL 15D BALKs +54 377
#note I saw BEADLiKE here but wasn't convinced that it was good. Deen put me on hold for about two minutes for QUININA, so I was getting the impression that he's not afraid to challenge. BEADLiKE is of course vastly better than any other play, but BALKs is preferrable to plays that retain the blank, as the REBS spot is huge in a close game.
>Deen_Hergott: GRU 7K URG. +16 361
>Arie_Sinke: ?DEGISW 4G eDGEWIS. +78 455
#note This will lose to MITOGEN, ONETIME, EXIGENT, EXCITON, VICOMTE, CENTIMO, CENTIME, MIOCENE, and ICEWINE.

WIDGETs J1 69, on the other hand, loses to GENOCIDE, INVECTED, COEXTEND, MITICIDE, INVOICED, and EXOGENIC.

I assumed that there would be more eights than sevens in the pool that I could lose to, but that appears not to be the case, which is interesting. WIDGEtS appears to be a slightly better play, and the sim bears it out. I'm not too disappointed about misevaluating this one.
>Deen_Hergott: ENOX 5I OXEN +46 407
>Arie_Sinke: CGIIIMW 3E CWM +19 474
#note I should block the high scoring position of VET (3J for 28) with CIMEX or GI(D). Final score was recorded as 473-446 on account of my one point scoring error. A few inaccuracies in this game, including QI and HEP, and missing BEADLIKE and erring in the endgame.
>Deen_Hergott: ETV 3J VET +28 435
