#note I once missed UNLADEN as an opening bingo, but was ready for it this time. But I've missed UNANELED too.
>Josh: ABEGHIT K2 BE.IGHT +28 92
#note considered no play that kept a G. Only BIGHT 3J and this. Felt more comfortable with this, though I did see the value in BIGHT. Plays like BATH and BATHE G6 are up there too. #questionable
>Joey: ELMOOSX 3F OX +36 104
>Josh: ?AADEOO 5B ODEA +16 108
#note none of this would have happened without 10H (r)OADEO for 8

Am I supposed to play J6 AA? Exchange keeping ADE? #questionable
>Joey: AELMOSZ C5 .AMOZELS +83 187
>Josh: ?AIIIOO -IIIOO +0 108
#note for once the random tile exchange is close to the truth. IIIO was my draw, and I felt completely crushed here. This seemed almost as low as the REIGNED and INSOFAR back-to-back misses. How do you win from this position? I guess we'll find out
>Joey: AADMOPV D8 PAM +32 219
>Josh: ?AACERT 12A CA.tRATE +76 184
#note just stopping to not that 7G T(R)AC(H)EARy (which took me almost a full minute to recognize as TRACHEA-RY), is a really amazing play here. The other option here is 2H CRA(B)mEAT, which I can't say I saw, being vegetarian. Its value relies on board dynamics, where I use a very unusable part of the board to leave the rest of the board untouched for later attempts at mounting my comeback. My option is more straightforward, but possible more exploitable. #questionable
>Joey: ADIOTVY A12 .AVY +36 255
>Josh: BEIQTWY 2D YEW +31 215
#note felt U's were well within his range, so opted against QI L1, somewhat sillily perhaps. He ended up having the U and big plays to the triple (he drew it). This happenstance is perhaps the beginning of something absurdly ridiculous. Other plays outperform YEW (which was a weird attempt at setting up my B for 40 points and counterintuitively attempting to draw a U myself for my Q down the line. TW(A) 6A, BY 2E and B4 B(O)Y all sim a few points higher than YEW. #questionable
>Joey: CDIIOTU 2I CU.OID +26 281
#note Probably IDIOT 1A, to avoid what happens next.
>Josh: ABFIIQT 1M QAT +50 265
#note ok then, all according to plan?
>Joey: FIINOTU 1A INFO +30 311
#note That invisible blank R made me whiff on FRUITION.
>Josh: BFGIINR B4 F.B +24 289
#note I couldn't imagine how I was in this game. I was sure Joey was about to strike as he so often does in these horrible games I (wish I could use "used to") lose to him in various ways. BEDIGHTING was missed, but this is actually better because I need to bingo. I considered phonying with FIBRING*, having been 1-0 in challenges against Joey thus far in the tournament, but I figured Joey knew his non-verbial* -ED but not -ING words. Besides, GOITERING* was still dry and bitter in my mouth from last tournament, despite that not being in a Joey game. Anyways, what was I saying about -ED words not being valid with ING?
>Joey: GILNOTU 14A .OLUTING +78 389
>Joey: GILNOTU -- -78 311
#note VOLUTE and VOLUTED are fine. Stupid fake verbs.
>Josh: EGIINRS 10F RE.ISING +62 351
#note what in the hell was I supposed to do about LOUTING here? Block it? How exactly? Can't float a G for GLOUTING, can't keep ING without the other I. (E)R for 2? (E)RN gives back NONGUILT. I think both of us failed to see BEDIGHTING this entire game, but that play really messes me up if I block LOUTING There was no chance in my mind that he wasn't going to play it next turn. I hoped I could somehow draw everything good leftover and outrun despite being down 30 with 9 in the bag. (r)ERISING gave back GLOUTING, so that seemed out of the question, unless I'm trying to draw another bingo at 13H?
>Joey: GILNOTU 14A .OLING +28 339
#note The way he agonized over playing his bingo should have made me realize that LOUTING is a word. Not my finest sequence.
>Josh: DEIIKRS 15F IRK +24 375
#note completely beside myself that he didn't even try LOUTING. As explained, I was agonizing so hard over my play, even a robot with no understanding of emotion watching this game could tell that I at least thought LOUTING was valid. Really rough table-turning for Joey in this game, leading to an upset in the last round. He'll make a comeback. In this position, maybe IRKED. Pool is quite ugly, but I liked trying for a bingo being really low on the clock.
>Joey: APRTUUV M8 VU. +8 347
#note Might need to exchange here, but I had lost control of this game's tempo and felt the need to plod through.
>Josh: DEEIJNS 13H DJIN +23 398
#note I drew every last E here, felt I should block and keep them to build spread just in case it mattered, expecting him to try and go for one. Very confident I was winning this game at this point. Just wanted to block to be sure, despite 6F JE(E)IN(G) being the best spread play by far. I10 (I)NDIES is a really cool option too. #questionable
>Joey: APRTTUW 9G W.T +23 370
>Josh: EEHORSS 8A HO..ER +33 431
#note even if this is somehow not a word, I win.
>Joey: AOPRTTU - +0 370
#note Spread no longer mattered, so sacrificing a turn for word knowledge did no real harm. Somehow this word has been valid forever.
>Josh: ESS 3J S.ES +37 468
>Josh: (AOPRTTU) +18 486
