#note I dont know Mike's game very well, but I think EIDOLA might be the call here, from what I've learned in our games and what my game plan is usually in these situations. I felt exchange OE was probably optimal, but its close enough that EIDOLA might be preferred.
>Mike_Baker: OPW H7 POW +16 16
>Jackson: ABDEILW G8 WAB +20 20
#note didn't consider WIDE, just BLAWED and this really. Once again I think the other two are more thematic in terms of my game plan, not setting up S hooks and scoring, etc. BLAWED looks like it. I think I overvalued DEIL here.
>Mike_Baker: AENNOTU I6 TONNEAU +77 93

#note TONNEAUS is a word

>Jackson: CENORSU 15A .ROUNCES +83 206
#note did not even consider frounces for 5 more and conures/connteaus, which I do quite like for board control. Q prefers frounces, cause he bingoes about 5% less cause its harder to overlap, which may make it worth playing

#note anyone playing for 22 here?
>Mike_Baker: IP 4K PI. +26 223
>Jackson: DEIQTTU E9 QU.T +13 264
#note tough position here, and quackle's only static choices are fishes, which I think is not the call here. I was a bit nervous playing this cause it makes the top left possibly hard to reopen if he bingoes now. however, there are blanks and some scoring spots and yogee and parallels if he bingoes right now, and I should only be down a tempo or so, so this has merit on the short term defense and just rack clearing
>Mike_Baker: ACNST 13I SCANT +25 248
>Jackson: ADEEITU - +0 264
#note I had kinda decided this was no good when I played DOILIES, and I didnt think he would be thinking about how I must think its no good on the doilies turn (in which case hed only play this if he was very sure of it, but I felt it was much more likely this factor was nil). obv the fact I have auditee and a very likely win if this is no good was another factor, but the biggest reason i challenged is that im bad
>Mike_Baker: EEJNT L10 JEN.ET +28 276
>Jackson: ADEEITU 15L .IED +15 279
#note not really sure... it would be nice to draw tiles into the blanks, and something like N6 DAUTIE is perfect cause it keeps the case E and draws 6, but it also makes his plays easier and he has tempo. I played this cause he has to spend a vowel (which are becoming slightly scarce) to take the spot, and with the case Es the D is more helpful to me than him. that being said, the T in JENNEY may be more helpful to me than him with the E in hand, so EAU/QUITE is worth considering. however, that means I will shed my E as of next turn. EAU kills a sim though
>Mike_Baker: GGIS N10 GIGS +18 294
>Jackson: ?AELOTU 10L .U. +11 290
#note Hmm I must have mistracked or something cause I remember there only being one A out when I played this. In this case it probably should be JOG instead, which might have even been the call with the one A out anyways

>Mike_Baker: ?AIMOVV O5 OVeR... +36 351
>Mike_Baker: ?AIMOVV -- -36 315
>Jackson: ?AEHLOT 10B H. +26 326
#note pretty sweet draw. I considered fishing for HEBDOMAD here, but the H drop is too good. I could also do HO N6 here, which has merid. I figured I was a favourite to hit the mad extensions though as well as N6 plays, and I liked keeping the vowel
>Mike_Baker: NO O7 NO... +24 339
>Jackson: ?AELORT 5J ....R +8 334
#note at this point I figured my position was good enough to play this, blocking the X and M and D overlaps, and I save the E for QUITE, hit AnOLYTE occasionally and OVATELY too

#note Another endgame blown against Mike. The key here is realizing that he can get D stuck potentially, and that PIX is not blockable. Since PIX isn't blockable, I should be playing it later and doing something more active now. Blocking either ARVO or VAV is then good cause it forces him to play his V, and blocking ARVO is better because it can get him D stuck if he plays his V, or vice versa. TOY(O), TA(O), and sY(N) seem to be my wins here. MAYO immediately doesn't win cause I need to keep my A for 2N in case he plays his D now, cause otherwise I can't block VAV without spending my blank. I think finding TA(O) and sY(N) are quite hard, but TOYO is definitely findable using this logic. I hadn't fully calculated if PIX would win, but with AY 14F and such I felt it was a good line. Not a great play, even under time pressure.
