Player 1
#player1 Josh_Sokol Josh Sokol
#player2 Jonathan_Lindh Jonathan Lindh
>Josh_Sokol: CEIIORS - +0 0
#note Exchange 4. Not actual rack. I was feeling great coming into this game with a 7-4 record but things would take a tumble shortly thereafter.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AACDIIL 8H ILIAC +20 20
#note I think this is best. A number of plays sim very close together. i think the Championship Player likes mine the best.
>Josh_Sokol: Q J7 Q. +11 11
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADFNOUU -FOUU +0 20
#note Sims close to the top if not at the top. This is a terrible rack for this board.
>Josh_Sokol: ?AGMORS H8 .SOGRAMs +83 94
#note Best play for Josh.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AABDENO 11C BANDA.E +22 42
#note I didn't like this play when i played but there isn't that much else to do. G12 3 letter plays close the board too much. I think BONDAGE in the same spot is probably best.
>Josh_Sokol: VV D10 V.V +18 112
#note This play messed me up.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AILOOTY L4 LOTI. +14 56
#note A hilarious sequence of events happened here. I orginally played COOLY and attempted to hit the SamTimer but the timer didn't register my play. I then decided I didn't like how COOLY collapsed the board and switched it to LOTIC. The Championship Player doesn't find LOTIC but when added to a sim LOTIC does pretty well.
>Josh_Sokol: IJP 14F JI.P +31 143
#note Now Josh plays JIMP instead of JIMPER knowing I stupidly flashed a Y on the last turn. It gets better.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEGY K3 YAGE +26 82
#note Now I whiff on JIMPY and make this horrible play. JIMPY would come up later in the game though.
>Josh_Sokol: EF G13 F.E +20 163
>Jonathan_Lindh: EHINORU F7 HOUN. +11 93
#note Nothing is great here. I was trying to open up the board. The Championship Player and a sim like HOY although there are 4 A's out and if Josh has one of them HOY probably turns out badly.
>Josh_Sokol: EEZ E5 ZEE +29 192
#note No Josh! Why did you have to block my nine?
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEIIPRS 5E .IP +14 107
#note Josh blocked D4 PRESIDIAL which I had lined up and ready to go. I switched tactics and decided to set up my S.
>Josh_Sokol: ARW M3 WAR +19 211
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEHIRSU H1 HURDS +48 155
#note Best play.
>Josh_Sokol: AEIKR 10H .AKIER +22 233
>Jonathan_Lindh: EEIIILN 3C LINIE. +14 169
#note 1H HEINIE maybe better but everything is pretty meh once again.
>Josh_Sokol: BDNO 2F BO.ND +30 263
>Jonathan_Lindh: EINOTUY J13 OY +40 209
#note Now I immediately see JIMPY and play it. The Champsionship Player and the sim think I should do J14 YO instead, possibly to set up 6's starting with OUT-.
>Josh_Sokol: ATX 2B TAX +31 294
#note I wonder if Josh had an S when he did this.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEEINTU 1J AUNTIE +24 233
#note Best play.
>Josh_Sokol: EEGS 4A GEES +37 331
>Jonathan_Lindh: DELMNOO 9M OM +8 241
#note Should play it more traditional and just do GLOOMED. OM gets blocked too easily and this game is almost certainly a loss anyhow. I was trying for GOLDENER or a bingo down column O.
>Josh_Sokol: RSTUW O6 WURST +29 360
>Jonathan_Lindh: DELNOTT A4 .OTTEN +21 262
#note A4 GOLDEN for 24 is best which I saw but then dismissed because I didn't see an out with TT (There's TUTS). You might be tempted to block the J12 spot which seems reasonable until you realize Josh's outs are unblockable.
>Josh_Sokol: ?CEFOR 12J FREsCO +31 391
#note In addition to the J12 plays, Josh has 15A FREsCO(Es) for 42 and out. Both of missed that one after the game. This game had the worst board I've seen all tournament. What an ugly yet hilarious game.
>Josh_Sokol: (DL) +6 397
