#player1 Jonathan_Lindh Jonathan Lindh
#player2 Michael_Baker Michael Baker
>Jonathan_Lindh: CLNOTUY 8G COUNTY +30 30
#note Debated between this and 8D COUNTY, didn't see 8H UNCOY. My play is apparently best.
>Michael_Baker: BGO J6 BO.G +13 13
>Jonathan_Lindh: AHILLNT L4 HILL. +22 52
#note L2 LAITHLY and HILLY are neck and neck for the best play.
>Michael_Baker: AINP M2 PAIN +19 32
>Jonathan_Lindh: ALNOOTZ K5 ZA +51 103
#note Best play.
>Michael_Baker: ABM N1 BAM +26 58
>Jonathan_Lindh: ELNNOOT O1 ON +23 126
#note Best play.
>Michael_Baker: HI G7 I.H +13 71
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?DELNOT 10I rONDLET +71 197
#note ICH screwed me up. I was to play LENTOID/BONGO and then I couldn't come up with NOTEDLy. That seems like the play either at 6B or 10I. RONDLET is also phony.
>Michael_Baker: AAEINRS O8 AR.ESIAN +131 202
#note Nice play but this shouldn't be happening.
>Jonathan_Lindh: DFIOSSU M9 F.UID +26 223
#note Best play.
>Michael_Baker: DQU 12K QU.D. +30 232
>Jonathan_Lindh: EEFOSSY N5 EF +26 249
#note Best play. J12 SOY is also an option to set up my S but I have to contend with SOY taking an A back hook as well.
>Michael_Baker: EKPT F4 KEPT +18 250
>Jonathan_Lindh: EINOSSY E3 SOY +28 277
#note Pretty even with the J12 SOY. These two are best at about 70-71% to win.
>Michael_Baker: AGO F9 AGO +13 263
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEINSTV E9 NATIVES +83 360
#note Do I dare tempt fate with another triple triple opening? Yes I will. My play is the highest scoring bingo but 12C VAINEST for 77 is about a point higher in win %. I like VAINEST a bit more looking back on it but this is hardly a huge blunder, minor mistake at most.
>Michael_Baker: EILRRSV 14A SLIV.RER +76 339
#note This or SILVERER are the best plays for Mike. VAINEST would have worked out better.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEEEIOW D3 AWEE +42 402
#note D3 EWE for 40 sims best despite a little worse leave probably because it doesn't open a 7's lane. Mine is very good though.
>Michael_Baker: ER G4 ER +20 359
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEIMOUX H11 IXO.A +60 462
#note The moment of truth! At first I thought Michael may have been setting himself up for WOKER plays. Then I turned my attention to the A line and the 15 row. IXORA seemed to score enough so Mike's only hope of winning was a second triple triple. Quackle says IXORA is best at a 87.12% chance to win, a lot better than anything else. Would lightening strike twice?
>Michael_Baker: ?CDERRW A7 CRoWDER. +92 451
#note Close but I am still favored to win.
>Jonathan_Lindh: EGIJMTU G13 J.T +37 499
#note Best play.
>Michael_Baker: EOT C6 TOE +6 457
#note 3A TOEAS or 2J TEOPAN are both 10 points. C6 TOE is 3rd.
>Michael_Baker: (EIUGM) +16 473
#note Mike's 473 was the high loss of the tournament and this game had the highest combined score until round 20 when Josh Sokol put up a 645. RONDLET was stupid and could have cost me the game but I made no major mistakes other than that and played pretty good Scrabble. I was happy with the way I handled this game after the triple triple.
