>Noah_Walton: AEIIOUY -AIOUIY +0 0
>Mack_Meller: EEFLNQR -OOO +0 0
#note MM: I think this was my rack, though I think if it was I would've at least considered FLEER, which I don't remember doing at all. So maybe I had a 6th consonant instead of the second E. Either way, exchanging seems fine here. I exchanged down to ERN -- Jared initially uploaded it as an exchange 3 but I don't want to fix it as then I have to recreate the whole game.
>Noah_Walton: AENOOTV 8F OVA +12 12
#note Also considered exchanging OVO, given Mack's exchange. I simmed this, AVO, and exchanging against AELT. This isn't a perfect test, but the sim is pretty close against that rack, with AVO simming about a point higher than OVA, perhaps because of the L hook on OVA, and exchanging a couple points down from OVA. I kind of like setting up the N, but AVO could be better for defense, I suppose.
>Mack_Meller: DEEIINR E7 INDIE +19 19
#note MM: Not loving VIE here, it just gives so much back. DIVE is another option but I felt it was likely Noah kept an N given how quickly OVA in that spot came down, so opted to play here to take out the NOVA hook.
>Noah_Walton: BEENOTX D9 EXON +36 48
#note Not sure I considered BOX, which seems decent here.
>Mack_Meller: AEEGLOR C3 AEROGEL +77 96
>Noah_Walton: ABEGLRT H3 GLABR.TE +62 110
>Mack_Meller: AEEITWZ D3 AWE +26 122
#note MM: Waffled a lot here between ZIBET, BIZE, AWE, WAREZ, and WIZ at C11. Missed WIZ at B1 but that seems unnecessary as it gives back such easy scores. Didn't like the hooks ZIBET gave back, and after AWE I can always play ZIBET next turn as it's not likely to be blocked. I guess I felt EIZT had more potential to improve next turn than AWE did after ZIBET, plus AWE gives so much less back. I still think it's fine, and it sims neck and neck with WIZ and BIZE.
>Noah_Walton: EEIKNVY 8A KY. +30 140
#note I was happy to play this instead of VEINY, keeping things tighter, I thought, but sim prefers VEINY because EEINV often ends up quite poor next turn (even though it does bingo quite a bit more than KYE).
>Mack_Meller: EFIPTTZ C11 FIZ +38 160
>Noah_Walton: DEEINOV 6F VI.E +17 157
#note Counterintuitive sim to me here -- apparently DEINO is actually extremely strong after VOE 6B, bingoing about 11 %points more than DENO does after VIBE. Plus, VOE is more defensive and scores more. My play in these games left a lot to be desired.
>Mack_Meller: ENPSTTU 10G P.TUNTSE +64 224
>Noah_Walton: CDENOOS O4 CONDOES +100 257
>Mack_Meller: ?CEGHLS L7 GLi.CHES +78 302
>Noah_Walton: IIILRRW 13H WILI.R +20 277
>Mack_Meller: AEHMNUU 11J MU.H +35 337
>Noah_Walton: ABIOPRT 12G BOP +18 295
#note Hm, I'm not sure I considered playing on row B here. TOP and TIP look pretty good.
>Mack_Meller: AAENOTU 3H .ATEAU +16 353
>Noah_Walton: ADIRSTU 14H TUI +20 315
>Mack_Meller: ?AFINNO 15B FANIONs +98 451
#note MM: TUI was a great play by Noah given the score and how impossible it is to block OWTS unless I have the blank. Unfortunately for him and luckily for me, I drew not only the blank but a bingo after GATEAU and was able to end the game here. Sometimes that's just the way it goes with Scrabble...
>Noah_Walton: ADEORSY O1 SYD....... +51 366
#note MM: There was a $25 best Sid word prize and spread did not matter one bit in my series with Noah as we were both 2-0 in matches and I had a 1-win overall lead in case we somehow finished 5.5-5.5. So I held, laughed uncontrollably for about 30 seconds, gathered myself, and let this absurdity remain on a tournament-rated Scrabble board.
>Mack_Meller: AIJMQRT B4 TAJ +60 511
>Noah_Walton: ADEORR 1I ROADER. +10 376
>Noah_Walton: ADEORR -- -10 366
#note MM: Here I decided once was enough...
>Mack_Meller: IMQR 14A QI +32 543
#note MM: L2 MAR is actually 3 better as it blocks ADORERS and saves QI for next turn. #endgamesmall
>Noah_Walton: ADEORR 1I ADORER. +9 375
>Noah_Walton: (MR) +8 383
