#note Rd 3 Philly virtual 11-21-2021. Looks fine.
>skaplan31: ACCIKTW D4 WICC. +24 24
#note Maybe F7 WICK if I had an S, but I wasn't crazy about that under the circumstances. But with this rack, I think doing my style is all right.
>DaBag: AAEIRUV C2 UVEA +21 39
>skaplan31: AAKTUWZ 6D .UZ +34 58
#note I did miss E8 (M)UZAK, but this is also more defensive. Also, I did not know E8 (M)AKUTA.
>DaBag: ADHINOR 7G OH +15 54
#note While I also like 2A DOURAH for 36, this play does support his ADINR leave nicely.
>skaplan31: AAGKTWY 9F TAW +23 81
#note This is where I realized that Mitchell will have to open up next turn giving me a spot to get some nice points with my scoring heavy leave. By doing 9H GAWKY, or 2B Y(U)KATA which I did not know, I allow Mitchell to score nicely after my opening. GAWKY does keep the best but it allows him some points back, and YUKATA does not keep very well. Knowing HOW does get hooked very often, I'm looking to hit him back.
>DaBag: ADIINNR 6H DIN +17 71
#note Mitchell and I both missed the WICCAN hook all game, and 9C IN for this reason does keep better for him. I'm gonna hit him back this turn tho.
>skaplan31: AEEFGKY K4 FAKEY +39 120
#note Best play.
>DaBag: AEINORT 8K .O +6 77
>skaplan31: EEEGNQU L1 QUEEN +60 180
#note Nothing I can do about Mitchell's fish so thank god I had this play so that I can withstand his bingoes.
>DaBag: AAEINRT 7J A. +4 81
#note Yea, he's in a bad spot because 1 bingo won't be enough to get him back in this one, but then 1H TRANQ scores a lot more and won't keep a compatible leave for him on this board.
>skaplan31: EGIOORS 3L .GO +8 188
#note No idea what he could have been fishing for, but I liked this play over anything else anyway.
>DaBag: AEINRST O1 NASTIER +79 160
#note So he just picked the S apparently.
>skaplan31: EIIORSX B1 OX +36 224

#note Looks fine.

>skaplan31: AEIMRSV 5C ..M +18 249
#note Looks fine.
>DaBag: EGILOTT 3H TOG +11 236
>skaplan31: AEEIRSV 2F VIE +17 266
#note Just trying to bingo before he can.
>DaBag: EEHILST 10H SHELTIE +76 312
#note Are you serious...2nd time he's done that right after drawing a critical S hook. And I haven't even bingoed yet. I fought so hard to stay in this one and now things are immediately bleak.
>skaplan31: AAEOPRS O10 SOAPER +38 304
#note I did not know SARAPE in the same spot, but if I want to get back in this game, I can't afford to keep fishing, especially after there's no more Ms left for the MAIM hook. Not to mention he's not gonna just give me a bingo lane without setting up his own hooks.
>DaBag: FILOPRY N12 FOY +37 349
#note Yuck, nice play.
>skaplan31: ALLNNRS M13 LAR +22 326
#note 9A LARN also works decently because I missed the WICCAN hook again! Although Mitchell would have made a play into the L to block as effectively as possible. I do like this play better either way as Mitchell would have a harder time blocking the board after LAR vs LARN.
>DaBag: BEILPRT L10 .RIP +20 369
#note Doesn't help me any here, but at least I still have the R open.
>skaplan31: ?DILNNS 4B N.. +6 332
#note Jeez...WICCAN again! As I was annotating this, the only wins that I found after WICCAN were drawing the E for 15F ISLaNDE(R) or C9 INDoLES, as well as the blank for many other things. With this play, I can still draw the E for ISLaNDE(R) or the G for A3 LaDINGS. But LaDINGS would have played in 2 spots after WICCAN, so that's why I thought this was a mistake. Championship player, interestingly enough, gives me a 33.33% win after this and D4 WICCAS vs 25% after WICCAN. I could still draw INDULiN or aNNELID after WICCAS or WICCAN too.
>DaBag: BDEGLTU 15H BUGLE. +30 399
#note This, combined with my J draw, led to my demise.
>skaplan31: ?DIJLNS 10A DJINnS +36 368
#note Best play. At least my permutation was OK even though it didn't work out in the end as I can't reasonably expect to bingo out with a J draw too often.
>DaBag: ?DT A3 TaD +9 408
#note 11J Di(R)T or Da(R)T is 6 more for him. It's unfortunate to let a game slip away like this and miss a critical hook that I could have used, because WICCAN would have more easily allowed me to access the bottom left instead of having to rely on a reparallel on Column M to do that. Then again, SHELTIE just killed me given the nature of this board and knowing his playing style. Good game Mitchell!
