#note Rd 1 Philly virtual 11-21-2021. Thought about keeping HT? instead of this, which was also fine, but it's too early to tell. HT? does give me a little more scoring power should I draw a bingo, but I give myself a better shot of drawing a vowel this way. I'm not a fan of the X early on with this kind of rack because it serves just as good of a bingo killer as it does a scoring tile. The sim puts pretty much any reasonable exchange within 2% of each other, so it's basically a matter of preference.

#note I see how 8D CITATOr is more defensive, but it could also come back to bite me at the same time seeing I think he's likely to bingo. I felt like forcing bingoes ending with S to score less and give me back more, which is why I chose this over CITATOr.
>liberop: DEINOPT H8 .NTIPODE +92 92
#note Nice find Libero. I do like E4 OPTI(O)NED for 2 more.
>skaplan31: AJLOSXY G13 JAY +46 118
#note This and JOY are basically the same play because I still save 7A LOX for next turn, and I have some Column I reparallels as a backup option.
>liberop: EGIKLTW I11 TEW +33 125
#note C6 and C3 TWIGLIKE are 94 each!
>skaplan31: LLORSUX 7A LOX +36 154
#note Turns out I would have done J13 LUX for 26 instead of the play I saved if he had seen the bingo.
>liberop: EGHIKLT J12 ELK +36 161
>skaplan31: ALMORSU K6 MORULAS +74 228
#note I might take out Column K seeing how easy PEE is to hook, but there's a better bingo that I missed either way- D8 (C)LAMOURS for 2 more. Not to mention, Libero isn't out of this one yet with how easy it is to hook this board. #visionmedium

>skaplan31: CDEENPV 8J C.EPED +36 264
#note Bye bye 7s.
>liberop: GIIORTT J2 TRIGO +16 211
#note Looks fine to me at this score, not sure that leaving TT after M8 PIROGI will always help him.
>skaplan31: ENORSVW N3 OVERS.WN +68 332
#note Gonna do the more blocky placement over N6 at this score tho.
>liberop: ADEILTV E6 VI.LATED +74 285
#note While 4E DILAT(I)VE is 2 more, I think this is the right play as that will literally take out all the lanes he's gonna need. I'm not sure if he saw it, but I think this is a great move.
>skaplan31: AEGIRRU 14J .AURI +18 350
#note I did see O10 ARGUER, but what prompted me to keep EGR was the open I in TRIGO and the 4 unseen Ns. I didn't think this would sim too far back, but Quackle doesn't seem to like my move, and I understand that knowing ARGUER is 11 more. #strategylarge
>liberop: ?AABIQS L1 QIBlAS +57 342
#note Rough call for him- he can win by trying to draw another Q play, but it can also get him in trouble just as easily. If he thinks he can win the game with an eventual bingo, I like 13B QAID in this spot.
>skaplan31: EFFGNOR 12A GOFF.R +30 380
#note 4E OFFER(I)NG got blocked unfortunately. Now although I wasn't so crazy about keeping the GN combo, this could have actually been costly by passing up O1 OFF. I can block the Q plays he desperately needs to keep pace. This can help me keep pace with 1K and 1L plays, but another questionable play here.
>liberop: ABEHIIN 13B HEA. +36 378
#note Holy crap M1 INIA is a nice fit! I do like this better to try drawing Q plays.
>skaplan31: DEEENSZ O1 ZEE +38 418
#note There we go. Not hard, but well done.
>liberop: BEIIMNO 15L MENO +38 416
>skaplan31: DEGNSUY 14B SYN +39 457
#note Considered 13L GEY, 13L DEY, F10 YER, and this. I ended up choosing this move because at a minimum, I save 13L GED for next turn and block potential plays that score more on average for him, namely A12 GAIN, GAUN, GARB, and GAUR, than plays at 13L- I only saw BAR, BI, and RIB that can really do much. Worst case, I can still outrun him often enough even with a bad draw like II as I can still do M1 ID or IN even if Libero takes 13L. Luckily, there was no open E for INURBANE, and I didn't see a spot where BIRIANI could play should NU be in the bag. I'm also perfectly content with VIOLATED being on the board as BRAINING won't be in play, should IU be in the bag.
>liberop: ABIIINR 13L RIB +26 442
#note Correct move here, but he doesn't have a spot to play INIA, so he can't win.
>skaplan31: DEGNUU 6A ED +16 473
#note D10 DE(FAN)G is a cool play that I did not spot, but since I have more scoring flexibility for next turn, I'm fine with this play anyway.
>liberop: AIIN M8 .AIN +15 457
#note Libero's best play. I couldn't do a whole lot there, so outrunning is fine.
>skaplan31: GNUU O10 NUG +9 482
#note Mhm, QI won't score enough for him to get me.
>liberop: I 1L .I +11 468
#note Well played game Libero, that was a fun one to be a part of! This would end up being the high loss of the tourney. I survived this early test which was certainly no walk in the park.
