>Josh: BCEGLNU H4 CLUNG +22 22
#note I honestly didn't think too much about this opening. I thought this was clear given that it was a lot more defensive than other stuff. Quackle doesn't like it, at all. Surprising, and I'm not often surprised. -4? #strategysmall
>Noah: ADLTUUX G6 XU +22 22
#note Not certain of these first 5 racks, especially not sure about the WIN and NAVY racks.
>Josh: ?BEEFOO F7 FEEB +21 43
#note preferred this slightly (a tad more than a point) to BEEF for one more point. F7 FOE sims best by a tad. Interesting. #questionable
>Noah: ADLTTUW 8A WATTL. +30 52
>Josh: ?AEFKOO I7 KOA +32 75
>Noah: DIIMORU C3 DIMOU. +20 72
#note If this is the right rack, OIDIUM sims a good bit better here.
>Josh: ?EEFHIO D4 FEH +37 112
#note Could also sacrifice a lot of points for much better balance with D4 FOE. FOH sims slightly better because as usual I have reverse ESP when dealing with OE vs EE decisions. #questionable
>Noah: AINNRSW G9 WIN +23 95
>Josh: ?EEEIOO 4H .OOEE +14 126
>Noah: ANRSTVY 12D NAVY +30 125
>Josh: ?EEEIJP 11B JEEP +36 162
>Noah: AADRSST J7 SAD +23 148
>Josh: ?BCEIIP K1 BIC.P +22 184
#note I overdrew here for the only time this tournament. And it's obviously since I had the blank. Luckily I didn't mix, so he only chose from the 5 I drew. CIZ and the Z is gone. Quackle agrees with that choice. Lucky it wasn't a bigger mistake, but losing the Z is pretty bad. B11 (J)IBE is the favourite. I couldn't stomach it. #strategymedium
>Noah: AIRSTTY 1K .ITTY +33 181
>Josh: ?EGIINR K9 dINGIER +67 251
#note I hated (N)IdERING creating that S hook and easy forking options. I missed (T)INGlIER N1 which is probably it. Took forever. #findingsmall
>Noah: AADRRST 3K .ARD +16 197
>Josh: DEGLMST 14J M.LTED +30 281
#note after CARD I want to reduce bingos as much as possible, but I don't need to open a 3x3 and try to outrun that way. I can just play M(E)TED and do virtually the same things. This was game-losing. #strategylarge
>Noah: ?AEORST O8 OuTREA.S +131 328
>Josh: AGORSUZ 15G RAZO. +46 327
>Noah: AAERRSV B2 VAR +21 349
#note Not sure about this play. GRAVE scores a bit less but blocks some big threats, but I might actually want to keep open column M with my good leave.
>Josh: EGHIOSU 13C UGH +26 353
#note tough spot. I saw J7 (SAD)HU but did not like that Q(I) 2J would not empty the bag. However, it keeps E4 EGO behind which I missed. That's huge. This just doesn't get the job done. #tacticslarge
>Noah: AEINQRS N6 QIS +34 383
>Josh: EILNOOS L10 NOO +16 369
#note I had also completely missed QIS, thought I was winning until he made his crushing move. Having to block RE(G)INA(E) was just the icing on the cake. -7 to LO(G)OI, but this seemed to have the only chance of winning. #endgamemedium
>Noah: AEINR 5B A..ER +21 404
