>Josh: ADEILMR 6D MEDI. +35 117
>Noah: AAEIRTY 5K AYE +27 89
#note Quackle really likes keeping AEIRT here -- even (P)YA sims above this. This surprises me, but I don't have a good argument against.
>Josh: AEEHLOR 3I HAO +30 147
>Noah: AABIRRT 3M ARB +16 105
#note Need a LOT more room to play to the TE.
>Josh: EEHLLRU O3 .ULLER +27 174
>Josh: EEHLLRU -- -27 147
#note I actually played this to induce the challenge, even though I was only pretty sure this was valid. I considered RU(B)EL/RU(B)LE as the safe play, but wanted to be confident. I thought BULLER/BULLEST, but it's BULLER#. I did not believe I was confusing this with BOONER or any other. I don't know where this phony came from.
>Noah: AGIRSTT O1 GI. +18 123
#note It was tough to challenge BULLER -- perhaps it was a 2014 addition, a set of words which I'm not as solid as, but of course I'm happy with my choice.
>Josh: EEHLLRU 9I HULL +22 169
>Noah: ?AGRSTT 2C TARGeTS +68 191
>Josh: DEEOORS 3B RODEO +24 193
#note I think I saw (M)O(I)DORE before I saw this. I want to score, keep the game close and block the huge scoring spot at A1-D1. Fishing is also OK.
>Noah: AALNRVX 8L AXAL +39 230
>Josh: CDEINSU O5 INC.UDES +62 255
#note missing UNSLICED in the same spot. #findingsmall
>Noah: EFINRVZ 11J FRIEZ. +36 266
#note Q suggests FIVE N11 -- perhaps it will not work out well, but it can be great. It might be a little worse than Quackle thinks, given column O blocks and other plays obstructing the FIVE hooks, but those still often requires a sacrifice on Josh's part. FIVE might well be worth the risk.
>Josh: AEEEJOS 4A JEES +51 306
#note Seeing this play, I was struck with how crazy JEEZ would've been here.
>Noah: IINRTUV M10 V.IN +14 280
#note Maybe ERUV? Not sure I considered that or ZITI here.
>Josh: AEENOOS A4 .ONES +36 342
#note hanging onto the lead by a thread, that thread being AEO
>Noah: ADIRTUW 1F AW +13 293
#note Not too sure about this play. Maybe I should just play 6 and hope for a good draw? Could even play 5, but that seems worse for endgame timing. With only one or two in the bag instead of five, perhaps it is theoretically easier for Josh to zero in on an area to take out, but he is low on time, and I think often has difficult with bingo finding, which could improve the stock of long plays.
>Josh: ?ABEKOY 14M YOK +31 373
#note there is one available bingo here. I missed it, but it does allow a 3x3s, so it's probably incorrect. This is a position where there should be a 100% winning play. I actually screwed up and thought there were 4 in the bag here, and quickly realized I might have been giving up some games where he plays at 15N and threatens to bingo in two spots. Even a 1-tile fish could potentially win for Noah. I haven't found one and have been looking for a while, but it might exist. It would probably have to a threat of something on column C and something on row 13 that also doesn't allow me to outscore with MA/PA at 15N. The problem is not that this might be a 100% winning play, it's that I made a fundamental mistake in not realizing how many letters were unseen and opened myself up to the mathematical possibility of losing. #questionable
