#note I think this is okay. 10A EME and 10J AA are worth considering. This opens the board a bit more, especially the top left, which is kind of annoying, which made me want to play something else. AA is okay for that reason, but I think the board is still fairly open no matter what, especially if noah wants it to be. I am fine with AA here, though this is more standard

>Jackson: AEEEHMW N8 WEE +19 205
#note preferred over EEW, and this ets up MEH which re-closes the line

>Noah: ?EEFKNS M7 KEF +35 225
#note Also considered FaKENES(S), which is in fact fake! Based on his take after the game, I'm quite sure Jackson wouldn't have challenged, but this looks better anyway.
>Jackson: BDEEHIU H1 BEEDI +32 252
#note too bad to have lost the lead, now being forced to do this
>Noah: ??ELNOS 1H .aLONEyS +77 302
#note Can you find the ten on column D? Sadly, there are no double-doubles.
>Jackson: HLORSUU 12C HOURL. +24 276
#note Considered HURLY as well, which counteracts the consonant heavy pool a bit more, but I wasn't sure of it. HOURLY also seems fine over it, and I can make some parallels with HOURLY that open the 14 row. I also considered G12 OUR, which is the more thematic play for sure. Maybe I should do that, since it's hard to fully block that without risking getting outrun by 3 row bingoes. I felt like HOURLY could work out with putting on more scoring pressure, since if he blocks the 3 row it won't score much, and if I can draw vowels and leave him with clunkers I could outmaneuver him later. I think I like HOURLY over OUR for this reason, that it doesn't go all in on bingoing right now, and opens the door to a scoring pressure situation later on.
>Noah: GGHIJRS 3G R.JIG +22 324
#note I did not notice the spot set up by this play!! Given the pool, getting hit hard there seems fairly unlikely, but perhaps JIGGER 2D is better anyway. Quackle actually prefers JUG E11, setting up GIRSH instead of blocking bingos, which may have merit. #questionable
>Jackson: ADEIQSU 13A QUAD +41 317
#note I did notice I had the last E for RETAX here, which could prove useful. Made me feel good about trying to outrun here. Q prefers QUID by a bit over QUAD, which makes sense for the outrunning strat, especially cause I can draw QAT. Definitely a miss, somehow didn't consider it I think.
>Noah: GGHLPST E11 G.SH +31 355
>Jackson: BDEIORS 4A DISROBE. +90 407
#note was totally not expecting this. I can still lose with a few select draws, but they are very select Noah: oof, this was a surprise!
>Noah: AGILNPT B1 PIL.NG +26 381
#note Jackson: very close to one of the select draws, but it just wasn't select enough
