#note Rd 2 Philly virtual 9-12-2021. Looks fine.
>hellacia: ?EEIIQY -EIIQY +0 0
#note This is where I think it's OK to do QI, even though exchanging is perfectly understandable too. It might not keep very well for her, but I'm limited as to what I can do too. She's already at an advantage with the blank, and I did exchange 5 tiles so I'm not necessarily close to something. Robin's win % does go up by about 5% after QI vs. her exchange.
>skaplan31: ADEEHMN 8D HEADMEN +84 84
#note Gotta enjoy this luckbox start drawing into this after throwing back 5.
>hellacia: ?ENORUU H6 NU.EROUs +60 60
#note Definitely Robin's best move and a nice find.
>skaplan31: ACEEORR D4 ORAC.E +22 106
#note I did consider 7G E(U)RO to keep a nice bingo leave as well as D7 C(H)OREA for superior defense. Now Robin is entirely random and this all depends on the kind of board I want to have. EURO gives back more than my move does if a bingo is not drawn, and this gives back easily more if a bingo was drawn, but it's a risk I was willing to take here. Not to mention, CHOREA just looked like a scared move when I know this board isn't gonna be closed anytime soon.
>hellacia: AEIINRU 6G U.AI +6 66
#note Looks fine along with C9 AUREI.
>skaplan31: AEEJNOR E2 JANE +28 134
#note Saw but didn't care for E2 AJEE here. This is fine.
>hellacia: EINPRTV 13C VIPER. +22 88
#note I really like I5 V(A)P(E) here for 2 reasons- she keeps a much stronger leave, and Column C, among other things, are readily available for her to use to bingo. And, this X hotspot is not unnecessarily opened.
>skaplan31: EFIKOOR 12D KOR +32 166
#note I do like setting up my F in 2 spots, although I could withstand an X bomb at this score.
>hellacia: EINOTUX 14E EX +56 144
#note Yea, and I have limited use with my F now. Easily best for her.
>skaplan31: BEFGIIO C1 FOGIE +24 190
#note I'm cool with this one, it's definitely safer playing FOGIE here than at 5I.
>hellacia: DINOTUY B1 OY +25 169
#note Looks good.
>skaplan31: ?BFILMO 1A B..F +48 238
#note The only bingo I found was BiOFILM (no spot for it). Even though I did miss a playable bingo here, 10F FO(R)eLIMB, I would have passed it up either way as it's only 26 more than BOFF is. I would have been fine with passing up the bingo here if I like my prospects on future turns.
>hellacia: DILNSTU 15A DUNTS +27 196
#note I1 INSUL(A)T(E)D would have been even nicer than FORELIMB.
>skaplan31: ?EILMOT 11G d.LOMITE +68 306
#note Definitely questionable. I didn't like 5I MOTLIEr or MOTILEs, but I did not see 11G T(O)ILsOME, which is definitely safer knowing there's 3 Ss left, and Robin didn't seem to hesitate burning an S with DUNTS. #findinglarge
>hellacia: AEEILOY 10L LEY +31 227
>skaplan31: GNPTTTW 9C W.NT +15 321
#note Blocking Column B bingoes.
>hellacia: AEHIOQT 5J QI +33 260
>skaplan31: AEGGPTT 9M PEG +23 344
#note I don't mind partially taking the dangerous S hook out now.
>hellacia: AEHIIOT 4K OHIA +16 276
#note 10F TO(R)AH is certainly sick vision.
>skaplan31: AGILOTT 3L ALTO +19 363
#note Came up with the best block possible- LI doesn't take any front hooks so Row 2 bingoes are out of play, unless Robin starts with the J (highly unlikely), and OHIA is clearly a desperation attempt. She'll have to hit a disconnected gerund bingo on Column O, and that's also unlikely with only 1 N left.
>hellacia: DEILSTZ 11B ZEST +47 323
#note O11 SIZED does look tempting to actually open up a 2nd line as opposed to taking out Column A.
>skaplan31: GIINRTW O5 WRIN. +27 390
>hellacia: AADDILS O11 SALAD +31 354
>skaplan31: ABGISTV 14L VIG. +16 406
#note Guaranteeing myself an out play- even if Robin blocks J10 BOAST/BOATS/BOTAS with 12J RID (that's the best play I saw for her), I still go out with 2I STAB knowing I can't C-stick her after RID.
>hellacia: CDIR 12J RID +22 376
#note Her out play would have been 3E ACRID, but this endgame is only 1 point worse than going out.
>skaplan31: ABST 2I STAB +16 422
#note So T(O)ILsOME was definitely safer over d(O)LOMITE, but I got lucky Robin missed SIZED which would have really helped her (on the off chance) get back in this one. I'm definitely glad to have found ALTO in the manner I did. 2-0 now.
